Hi there! My name is Josie and I'm not ashamed to say that I am an avid animal lover. With a veterinarian as a mom, I was fortunate to grow up surrounded by animals and learned how to properly care for them from a young age. Now, my husband and I share our home with our dog, Auri, and our two cats, Schnitzel and Pippen. Beyond caring for my own pets, I also worked part-time at a veterinary clinic for 4 years where I fed, walked, administered medications, and cared for dogs and cats that were staying there. Currently, I am working part-time and primarily remotely to finish my PhD in Physiology, so my schedule is very flexible. I would love to spend my writing breaks hanging out with your pets. I respect all animals and their wellbeing while under my care is my top priority. I recognize that every animal has their own personality, and so I like to take some time to get to know each other. Whether that means going on a long walk, playing with a toy, or just sitting in the same room, I do everything I can to try to make everyone feels safe and comfortable. I also always prefer to meet with you and your pet ahead of time so that we can make sure your pet and I are a good fit and so that I know what your expectations are.

Josie has been the sweetest find since moving to Tucson! It means so much to find someone that I can trust to watch my dog while I’m at work. It really brings so much peace of mind! My dog can be a little nervous and shy, and Josie was always patient with her and continued to give me updates on how well Pig has warmed up to her! This to me shows how patient she is and how much she actually cares! I cannot recommend Josie enough for anyone in the Tucson area!
Josie is great! Communicating with her was prompt and easy. Our two cats and one dog were very comfortable with her - even snuggling which is not always their style! It was fun to see the daily pictures she sent to reassure us that everyone was doing well. Josie left our house immaculate. We would highly recommend Josie for in house pet sitting.

Josie was so great with Sadie and she loved being in Josie's home and backyard. She provided plenty of photos and updates throughout the time we were away. Looking forward to having Sadie stay with her again!
Josie did a wonderful job sitting my little guy, sent some updates and pictures, and returned to me a happy pup who enjoyed his stay. I highly recommend and will be using Josie for future sitting needs.

Schedule
I am currently finishing up my PhD in Physiology at the University of Arizona. I have completed my classes and other requirements and am now working on finishing my dissertation primary from home. My schedule is flexible and I am happy to check in or walk any time of day, weather permitting.
