I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including reactive and high-energy dogs. I’ve also done training work with reactive dogs, so I’m confident managing structured walks and helping dogs feel secure. In addition to sitting and walking, I can provide light grooming services such as nail trims, bath and brush, and sanitary trims upon request. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on building trust so pets feel safe and relaxed in my care.

I provide care in my client’s home and prioritize safety, structure, and low-stress handling. As a grooming technician, I work hands-on with dogs every day and am very comfortable reading body language, recognizing stress signals, and adjusting my approach to keep pets calm. I have experience working with and training reactive dogs, so I’m especially patient and aware during walks and new situations. I carefully follow all owner instructions, keep doors and gates secure, and can crate if needed. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications. Your pet’s physical and emotional well-being always come first.

Josie did an absolutely amazing job watching my elderly Yorkie mix, Mini. Since she’s older, she needs a little extra patience, attention, and gentle care, and Josie handled all of that perfectly. From the start, she was attentive, responsible, and genuinely caring. She made sure Mini was comfortable, stuck to her routine, and gave her the extra love and understanding that senior dogs need. Yorkies can already be a little particular, and with Mini being elderly, I’m always extra cautious about who watches her. Josie gave me complete peace of mind and kept me updated while I was away, which meant so much to me. It was clear Mini felt safe and relaxed with her. On top of that, Josie even went the extra mile by trimming Mini’s nails and gently cleaning her eyes. Those little details really showed how much she cared and how attentive she was to Mini’s comfort and well-being. When I came back, Mini was happy, calm, and clearly very well taken care of. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, especially for a senior dog. I would absolutely trust Josie again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone dependable, patient, and genuinely loving with their pets.

Schedule
I work part-time in the pet care field, so animal care is already a regular part of my daily routine. My schedule allows flexibility for morning, afternoon, and evening visits depending on the day, and I have strong weekend availability. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting in your home, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s normal routine to keep them comfortable.
