What sets me apart is my patience, especially with shy or nervous pets. I take things slow and let them come to me so they always feel safe and comfortable. I’ve been pet sitting for friends for the past 7 years, caring for both cats and dogs with all different personalities. I’ve loved animals since I was a kid and even went/took horseback riding lessons once a week. Since my mom was scared of dogs, I wasn’t able to have one as a child, so I poured all my love into caring for my friends pets whenever I could - playing with them, cuddling them, and giving them the attention they needed. Now I have a dog and I used to have a cat of my own, and both require daily medication, so I’m experienced with giving pets medicine safely and gently. I genuinely love creating a calm, loving environment where every pet feels understood and cared for.

First time leaving my dog with a sitter and couldn’t ask for better people. Josie and George were phenomenal sitters who cared immensely for my dog and kept us posted with pictures and videos. My dog loved it so much he was excited to see us but visibly sad cause of the great time he had. I would recommend Josie and George hands down! I’ll definitely be reaching out to them in the future!

I honestly can’t say enough good things! We have a few cats, and they all have completely different personalities. One of them is especially skittish and usually hides from anyone new, so I was a little worried about leaving them. Josie & Georgie were so patient, gentle, and understanding with each of them, and it made such a difference. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our babies were being cared for by someone who truly loves animals. We loved getting the updates and photos while we were away, and coming home to happy, well-cared-for cats was the best feeling. I would trust them with our pets again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone looking for someone reliable, caring, and genuinely amazing with animals. I could not recommend Josie enough! She has done so many drop in visits for my two pups and cat. And they absolutely love her. She is easy to communicate with and always sends updates. My dogs love her and so does my cat. ( that’s saying a lot) I wouldn’t trust anyone else with them :)
I cannot recommend Josie highly enough! She took care of my senior dog for a weekend while I was out of town, and she went above and beyond in every way. Throughout the entire stay, Josie sent daily photo and video updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. I loved seeing pictures of her cuddling, petting, and spending quality time with my girl. It was clear that she genuinely cared for her and treated her like her own. My dog is terrified of thunderstorms, and when bad weather rolled through, Josie made sure she was comfortable and calm. She gave her medications as needed and even left a loud sound machine on to help drown out the thunder so she wouldn’t be scared. That level of attentiveness meant so much to me. She also took the extra step of warming up my dog’s food on the stovetop to encourage her to eat, which is something only someone who truly cares would think to do. I am extremely selective about who I trust with my dog and rarely leave her with anyone. After this experience, I would trust Josie again without hesitation. She provided exceptional care, communication, and compassion, and I would recommend her over and over again!

Schedule
I work from home two days a week. My office hours are 8am-5pm. My partner also works a lot from home so your pet won’t be home alone very often. I’m available for boarding during the week (as long as your pet is used to a similar schedule) and weekends.

I care for pets by creating a calm, safe, and cozy space. I have a fenced yard and a nice neighborhood for walks. My friendly dog will keep your pup company. Your fur baby is welcome on all our furniture, just like my dog. If needed, I can easily crate your pet or let them stay loose. Whatever makes them and/or you feel most comfortable.
Pets
A typical day
While your pet is under my care, we will be going on walks, playing with toys, chasing after balls, and cuddling on the couch or bed. We have plenty of dog toys but you are more than welcomed to bring their favorite toys and treats! If they do any tricks, I will get them to do it and reward them with treats.
