Pet care experience
I have worked with dogs as a professional dog groomer for 8 years, and prior to that I volunteered at the humane society as a dog walker and cat cuddler. Animals are my life and I want to help in any way I can to support their wellbeing. I have experience ranging from puppies to senior dogs, and from chihuahuas to pitbulls to newfoundlands. I also have experience handling aggressive or shy dogs. Because of my dog grooming experience, I can trim nails and do baths if you would like. In 2023 I graduated with my master's degree in primate behavior - I am very interested in nonhuman cognition and human-animal relationships. In the fall of 2024, I will begin my PhD at Cornell University.

Josie has been absolutely amazing with our girl Ruby. She has been seeing her regularly for a few months now and 10/10 would recommend her to anyone that asks. She always sends great updates and pictures! I always know that when she is going to see Ruby that she will be extremely well cared for.

I could NOT recommend Josie more! 10/10!!! My cat was so well taken care of that he forgot to miss me! I had such peace of mind that he was happy and healthy because I had such great updates. I had photos, videos, text updates, and I always knew when the visit started and ended via text. Amazing service ?????

Because I have three cats of my own, I am only able to care for pets at their own home. I ensure the safety of your baby by acclimating myself to the environment before taking the pet outside to the yard or on a walk. I always acknowledge that I am in the dog/cats environment so I make sure to not appear threatening by talking softly, slowly, and with care.

Please let me know if your fur baby has any special needs or behaviors (medication, illness/condition, anxiety, aggression, etc.). I am comfortable working with all kinds of dogs/cats but sometimes a meet and greet before the first visit/walk is a good idea to make sure it is the best fit :)

I think it is important to engage in mentally and physically stimulating activities with your fur baby, including taking long walks and playing with toys!
