What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience with high-energy and challenging dogs, especially large breeds. I worked for 3 years in a daycare/boarding facility where I managed 40+ dogs on my own and up to 90+ with a team. I regularly handled strong or reactive dogs that others weren’t comfortable with, and I’m confident reading body language and stepping in early to prevent issues. Outside of that, I’ve done paid pet sitting for family and friends and volunteered at no-kill shelters, where I handled feeding, cleaning, and administering medications as needed. I’m comfortable with puppies who need structure and basic training, as well as senior or reactive dogs that require patience, control, and close attention to behavior. Having a reactive dog myself has also strengthened my ability to manage triggers and maintain safe, stable environments. My focus is on keeping pets safe, consistent, and well cared for, and I look forward to providing that for your dog.

In a client’s home, I stick closely to their normal routine so they stay comfortable and relaxed. That includes feeding, walks, exercise, playtime, cleaning up after them, and keeping a close eye on their behavior and safety. I pay attention to body language and adjust based on each dog’s personality, especially for higher-energy or reactive pets. I also follow all instructions and treat every home with respect, keeping things clean, organized, and as you left them. My goal is to keep your pet safe, cared for, and in good paws while you’re away.

I will DEFINITELY use Josiah as often as possible! He followed all my instructions and my dog absolutely loved him. My beagle suffers from separation anxiety, and it's hard to find someone who not only compassionately understands his needs, but also with whom my dog feels comfortable and secure! When I arrived home, my dog was sleeping at Josiah's side. I think I finally found a perfect match!

Josiah was great with our dog, Bruno. He was very attentive to his needs. He kept us updated on how Bruno was doing while we were away. Josiah is very knowledgeable and cares very much for your pets wellbeing. He will love and care for your pet as if they were his own.
Josiah has pet sitting and doggy daycare experience. So he understands animal behaviors and body language very well. He is very observant, organized, follows all directions given and overall great with animals. Every animal he meets loves him immediately because of his kind, friendly and gentle nature!
Josiah was amazing with my fur baby, Bailey. When I started working more hours I knew I wanted someone to walk her. He was polite, attentive and so great with her! You can tell he loves animals, and she was a rescue and a little timid with new people. She warmed up to him quick!
Josiah is extremely patient and loving to our animals. When we are out of town we can rest assured our pets are well taken care of!

Schedule
I’m currently not working another job, which allows me to fully prioritize each booking. I’m available from noon onward, with flexibility for visits, walks, and extended stays as needed. I’m unavailable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional availability on Thursdays. This is my current schedule due to standing commitments, though it may change in the future.
