I work from home, so I'm able to take frequent breaks and spend time with our four legged friends. I start the morning off with a walk, spend lunch working on some training or going for a ride, and I'm home and ready to play right at five as soon as I turn my computer off. I'm free to take potty breaks throughout the day as needed as well.

Dogs love a good routine, and I'm here to help make that happen. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible while you're away so you can come home to a stress free pup, and for you to feel comfortable knowing your loved one is being looked after by someone that cares and is there with them.

I love dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages. I've cared for brand new puppies, been a companion and friend to the more mature and everything in between. Each pet is unique and I'd love to know what yours does and doesn't like. Car rides, medications, walks, running around the yard, fetch, snuggling in bed, each pup has a routine and I want to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. Let me know what you'd like for them.
A typical day
I love going to the new dog park in Galena if your dog likes to go for rides. They have 4 sectioned off areas, including a special needs section if your pup wants to still run free, but doesn't want to be with any other dogs there. There's a fenced in nature trail behind the play areas for exploring and great smells in nature. When it's open I love horseshoe mound, or watching the sunset at gateway park.

I've had dogs in my life since I was young. The newest member of our family, Reeses, makes me smile every day and we're learning from each other so much, she just warms my heart. When I was a senior in H.S. I worked with a professional trainer, training German Shepherds. It was during this time I learned that I've got a great commanding voice that dogs want to listen to. In college I was the president of the animal rights club, and worked with animal shelters in the area. Next year I plan on taking some official training classes and starting my own dog training / sitting business. Until then I'd love to make some new furry friends and their people too.

Joshua has been sitting for my dogs for awhile. He is always so helpful trying to help me with my difficult work schedule. So appreciate Joshua. We foster a dog recently so Joshua has been juggling four dogs when he sits, He is great!
I had a lot of anxiety leaving my dogs for a trip out of town, as I just moved to Galena and didn’t know anyone. Josh was amazing! The dogs loved him, and he took the best care of them while I was away. Kind, trustworthy, very personable, and GREAT with the dogs! Highly recommend booking him to anyone looking for someone to help with dog sitting!
