I normally have a trusted pet sitter who looks after Saoirse whenever I travel. Unfortunately, she was involved in a car accident and had to cancel at the last minute, so I had to find an alternative through Rover. What followed was one of the most distressing experiences I have ever had as a dog owner. On the first evening, Saoirse's AirTag was switched off, which immediately made me suspicious. I checked my security cameras and saw the sitter leave my property at 5:50 p.m. When I called him, he insisted that he had returned to the property at 7:00 p.m. However, footage from multiple security cameras showed that this was not true. I repeatedly asked for proof that Saoirse was safe, but it took almost an hour before he sent me a photo. During that time, I watched his car drive back up my driveway on my security cameras, and only after arriving back at the property did he send the photo. The following morning, after I had specifically asked him to communicate honestly, I again checked my cameras and saw him place Saoirse into his car without informing me or asking for my permission. I never gave consent for my dog to be taken anywhere. He drove away with her before I was able to reach him. I immediately called and instructed him to return my dog. Thankfully, he did, and my neighbour also intervened. I have no way of knowing where he intended to take her or for what purpose, because he never informed me beforehand. At that point, I no longer believed my dog was safe in his care. With no trains available, I had no choice but to take an emergency taxi from London to get home as quickly as possible. Thankfully, Saoirse is now home, healthy, and happy. After carefully reviewing everything that happened, I cannot recommend Joshua as a pet sitter. In my experience, he was dishonest, unreliable, and unwilling to acknowledge inconsistencies even when presented with objective evidence. He also claimed to be professionally trained and later alleged that my dog attempted to bite him and it was unsafe, despite the fact that this was only raised after I confronted him and involved my neighbour. As a dog owner, trust and communication are essential. Based on my experience, I would not feel comfortable leaving Saoirse in his care again, nor could I recommend him to others. Furthermore its a shame but i wont ever be using roverr ever again

I couldn't get hold of Joshua yesterday, I don't know what happened, but I was moving house, so maybe losing the broadband/WiFi may have been the problem 🤔, otherwise Joshua was very helpful the day before our house move..

Excellent service. Joshua was extremely knowledgeable on caring for Ronnie. Ronnie was relaxed on my return. He obviously loves dogs and he was able to advise me about Ronnie's separation anxiety. I highly recommend Joshua and will certainly use his services again. Thank you.

Joshua looked after 3 of my dogs for a few days when we had a wedding to go to, he sent me updates on how they were doing and sent me pictures as well. There were no problems at all. Thanks
