I recently graduated from UC San Diego and am currently back home while searching for my first full-time role, which gives me a very flexible and open schedule. I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, and extended visits, and I can easily accommodate different routines and timing needs. Whether your pet needs consistent daily care or more last-minute support, I’m happy to be flexible. Because of my availability, I’m able to give pets plenty of attention and not rush visits, ensuring they feel comfortable and well cared for.

I cared for my own dog for 8 years, which gave me a strong foundation in daily routines, exercise, feeding, and understanding a dog’s behavior and needs at different stages of life. I’m especially attentive to each pet’s individual personality—whether they’re energetic and playful or more shy and reserved. I’m patient, calm, and detail-oriented, which helps pets feel comfortable and safe. I’m also very reliable and will follow your instructions closely, whether that includes specific feeding schedules, medications, or preferred walking routines. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I take the time to make sure each pet gets the attention, care, and affection they deserve while you’re away. My goal is always to make the experience as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pet.

Joshua showed up with less than 2 days notice and hung out with my 3 dogs and 2 cats for the day. The really great thing was the sight off all my pets immediately taking to him. He has really positive, calming energy that relaxes. I will use him again.
Josh was awesome. He was able to build rapport with my dogs so quickly which is definitely not the easy. Josh was super communicative with lots of great pictures and videos. I could tell the dogs were very comfortable and happy with Josh. 100% will ask for Josh’s help next time we travel.
Josh is one of the most genuinely animal-centered people I know. What makes him stand out is that he naturally considers things from the animal's perspective and is attuned to their needs and body language in a way that puts them at ease quickly. He has extensive experience with greyhounds, which speaks to his patience and ability to handle dogs with specific care requirements. He has also been my go-to cat sitter for my calico cat, more times than I can count. He has a rare understanding of how to build trust with cats, giving them space and letting them come to him rather than assuming they want attention right away. It's something a lot of people get wrong, and Josh just gets it. He's compassionate, reliable, and I would trust him with any pet without hesitation. I give him my full recommendation!
Josh and his greyhound were a constant site in the neighborhood and it brought joy to me each time I saw them walking by. You can tell that boy loves the dog. And the dog, so majestic. I heard the dog passed and Josh went through the griefing period. Last I saw him he told me that he really loves dogs but he can’t have one now. But he would love to take care of others dogs when they travel or work. I highly recommend Josh because I know he does this because he truly loves animals and has this incredible connections with them.
