I am able to walk dogs a lot as my schedule is completely open. Walking dogs is no problem as long as it is before 3 pm Monday through Friday.

Walking a new dog could be a scary feeling for the dog. A stranger is taking them outside and what they’re use to evaporates because a new person is guiding the leash. I’d make sure the dog understands that they are safe with me, and I’d try to keep the route, treats, and care the same as you would! I wouldn’t let your dog off leash and never out of my sight. I would not leave your dog alone for a second.

A typical day
I am only looking to walk dogs at the moment. My walks will be in the city and through parks depending on where you are located. I will bring water and treats.

Pet care experience
Love dogs! I have taken care of my friends dogs numerous times back In La. Those days were spent frolicking about the city with lil trips to the park. My calm demeanor allows me to bond with pups and makes them feel safe when walking with me. I’d carry owner approved treats to help motivate dogs to stay in line and pay attention. I’d only have one dog per walk and would make sure he/she has a great experience walking around Chicago.

I have an elderly American Staffordshire / pitty mix who Josh has watched many times, sometimes for a weekend at my house and other times for 1-2 weeks at his house. She requires daily meds and patient walks, and Josh always does an incredible job taking care of her. He pays attention to detail and is communicative if any questions come up. He is so sweet with her and it she shows in how much she loves him!
Joshua is excellent with pets and will take great care of yours. He is responsive, timely, and accommodating to all pet personalities. Your dog will get the full package: walks, pets, play, and treats!
Need someone who cares? Josh is your guy! He's helped me out numerous times with my Pitty mix, Lola. She checks all the boxes for high maintenance... Separation anxiety, allergies and all that jazz. Always made sure all my instructions/ tips were handled and made sure she had the walks and attention she requires while maintaining great communication with me through out as needed.
Joshua was an excellent caretaker for my dog, Max. We had some trouble finding someone who could manage Max since he’s a large dog and needs to stay active throughout the day, but he handled him really well. He was consistent about getting Max out for exercise and even helped socialize him with other neighborhood dogs. I’d highly recommend Joshua.
