Pet care experience
Here to stay so you can get away!
Hi there! My name is Josh and my life is dogs! I am so excited to be a part of the Rover pack and I'm looking forward to caring for your fur baby. Dogs have always had an important place in my family. I have always lived with animals and I can't imagine life without a canine family member or two. Caring for dogs and learning more about them is my passion and I take my responsibility to you and your pet very seriously. Alongside my personal animal experience, I have a lifetime of experience I bring with me to each and every stay with your dog. I first began learning of the caretaking of dogs when I was in middle school when I was responsible for the care of my neighbors two adorable Huskies. In high school, I really realized my passion for animal care and began volunteering at the Guilford County animal shelter. This experience taught me how to properly care for and manage many different breeds of canine and how to effectively approach dogs as each dog is an individual. While volunteering, I offered to foster a litter of puppies that were found without their mother. Raising these puppies was challenging but was truly an honor. The real challenge, however, was giving them back when the foster time had ended. Growing up with these opportunities taught me how to properly and lovingly care for and work with dogs and comprehend their mannerisms. I have a full range of experience with dogs in regards to size, age, and breed. My passion and knowledge for animal care are unmatched by most and I hope I can make lots of furry friends and help you travel without a worry.

Safety, trust & environment
I am always attentive with my own dog and will provide that same level of alertness while caring for your furry friend. While we are bound to have a load of fun, safety is of my highest concern and is at the forefront of my duties.

Schedule
I do work a full-time job now however my employer is more than accommodating towards my needs in this role. Since my position is remote I am able to take my work with me if need be. Because of this, however, my availability during the week is somewhat limited to a handful of clients. I limit this to ensure that I am providing the best service possible to
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsJoshua can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- I would prefer to meet your dog before sitting or walking. The reason behind this is so I can introduce myself to your dog and learn more about him or her in a face-to-face environment. I have learned over the years that just like humans dogs' impression of you is built upon your first meeting. I would love as much information regarding your pup as possible. This includes your dog's habits, preferred treats, any allergies, or simply things that are idiosyncratic to your dog. I have no breed preferences! Furry, small, young, old, or tall! When it comes to dogs I have to say I love them all! Multi Dog Discount- Each additional dog for any of my available services is at a discounted rate per dog after the initial fee. First time using Rover service? During our meet and greet, I can provide you a code that will offer $20 off your first service.
