Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, structured, and secure environment where they can relax and feel at ease. In My Home: I provide a clean, pet-safe space free of hazards, with plenty of room to rest and play. Pets are always supervised, and introductions (if applicable) are done slowly and carefully. I follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, crate use, walk times, and bedtime habits to reduce stress and keep things consistent. Fresh water is always available, and I monitor behavior closely to ensure they’re comfortable and adjusting well. In Your Home (Drop-Ins/House Sitting): I respect your space and maintain your pet’s routine exactly as instructed. I ensure doors, gates, and crates are securely closed, leashes are properly fitted before walks, and pets are never left unattended in unsafe situations. After each visit, I double-check that everything is locked and secure. You’ll receive regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I’m attentive, detail-oriented, and proactive. If something seems off, changes in appetite, behavior, or energy; I communicate immediately. My goal is for you to feel completely confident that your pet is safe, cared for, and genuinely loved while you’re away.

Information Joshua B. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best possible care, I like to learn as much as I can about your pet ahead of time. Every dog is unique, and understanding their personality and routine helps me create a safe, comfortable experience. Please let me know: 🐾Feeding schedule and portion sizes 🐾Energy level and exercise needs 🐾Any medical conditions, allergies, or medications 🐾Behavioral quirks (anxiety, resource guarding, leash reactivity, etc.) 🐾How they do around other dogs, people, or children 🐾Crate training status and sleeping habits 🐾Emergency contact information and preferred veterinarian It’s also helpful to know their favorite toys, commands they respond to, and anything that helps them feel calm and secure. The more I know, the smoother and more stress-free their stay will be. My goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away. 🐾
A typical day
I love keeping pets mentally and physically engaged! Every dog is different, so I tailor activities to match their age, energy level, and personality. For high-energy dogs, we’ll enjoy long walks, play sessions, fetch, tug-of-war, and plenty of outdoor time to burn off energy. I also like incorporating light training games to keep their minds sharp and reinforce good behavior. For puppies, I focus on structured play and positive reinforcement training to build confidence and good habits. For senior dogs, we’ll enjoy slower-paced walks, gentle play, and lots of calm companionship and affection. I also provide enrichment activities like treat puzzles, sniff games, and interactive toys to keep them mentally stimulated. And of course — there’s always time for belly rubs, ear scratches, and plenty of love. My goal is simple: a happy, tired pup who can’t wait to see you again. 🐾

Pet care experience
I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a little extra patience and support. I’m comfortable with large breeds, high-energy dogs, and those who may need a slower, calmer approach. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. I have experience reinforcing basic training like leash manners, crate training, and simple commands such as sit, stay, and recall. For puppies, I focus on consistency and positive reinforcement to help maintain the routines you’ve worked hard to establish. For senior dogs, I provide gentle care, slower-paced walks, and close attention to comfort and mobility needs. What Sets Me Apart What makes me different is the level of attention and communication I provide. I treat every pet like family, not just a booking. You can expect regular updates, photos, and honest communication so you always know how your pet is doing. I’m dependable, patient, and detail-oriented. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines your pet relies on. Whether your dog needs extra exercise, extra structure, or extra cuddles, I adjust my care to fit their personality and needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. 🐾
Reviews
Joshua is my son and he has grown up with dogs in his life for all of his life. From our dog Ashley the black retreiver to Joshua's pug Rocky. He has cared for dogs all of his life. He currently has two Great Pyrenees, Elsa and Anna that we rescued form NoCO humane society. Elsa and Anna can definitely be challenging at times, but Joshua always keeps his cool and works with the dogs to achieve the desired outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend him for all your dog care needs. He is a dog lover and would never harm or hurt any dog within his care.
