Josh was so accommodating right from the start, and agreed to a second meet and greet just so our dogs would remember him when when he showed up two days later. We really appreciated him taking the time to do that! On the second visit we met Josh’s partner, Lyric. We had given permission for her to help out with the dogs as well. What a wonderful young couple! We were very jay to have them both! The communication was great! We were gone a week and received lots of pictures and messages, which was important to us. It’s clear from the pictures that our furries were played with, and we’ll loved in our absence. And while they were super excited to see us, they were happy and relaxed when we arrived home. I am happy to recommend Josh without hesitation, and Lyric was a great addition, a bonus! We will definitely use Josh next time we need a dog sitter! Our dogs received loving care and lots of attention, and we had total peace of mind!

We originally hired a girl to sit for our house and watch our dogs. On day 1, we discovered that she had lied about going to the house and we did not trust her further and were connected through the app with Josh who assured us that he would take great care of our dogs and house. Unfortunately, that was not the case in the least. We expressed that our dogs were still puppies and as such, have not been left unattended for more than 5 hours at a time. He assured us that there might only be a day or two where it would be an issue and that his girlfriend could come by and assist with letting the dogs out. As we reached out to him on short notice, he asked that he could have this girlfriend and their one dog over for an evening date night to which we obliged as he stated his dog was of the same size and friendly. We agreed to a one-night play date but did not agree to what ensued after. We found out that Josh’s girlfriend did not just come over for an evening but stayed over the entire time as did TWO other dogs. We have outdoor cameras that showed that she never left and nor did their dog and our neighbors constantly saw two cars in the driveway. They would both leave the house at 5:30/6pm and not return until 2:30/3am the next day and beyond not only leaving our puppies alone in the house for 7/8 hours at a time every day but also leaving the two other dogs in our house. This creates a very dangerous situation as we do not know these dogs and for them to be left unattended, we do not know what could have happened. On three different days, they allowed strangers to enter the house as we observed on camera (videos attached). We were explicit in text instruction and verbally as to where the sitter was supposed to park. We expressed that we ran a business out of our home and would need to keep the other part of the driveway clear so that our workers could access the work vehicles. As the sitter and his girlfriend did not follow these instructions, our employees were delayed to a job and because the sitter and his girlfriend did not respond to several attempts to reach them by knocking on the door, the employees had to enter the home to ask them to move their cars to which Josh and his girlfriend were exceedingly rude to our employees. Upon our return, both of our dogs were matted and had an extreme odor. Upon further investigation, we found that all 4 of the dog beds in the house were covered in dog urine forcing our dogs to lay in it which explained the odor. Our youngest dog Teddy was getting sick and vomited several times which prompted us to take him to the veterinarian. They tested him and concluded that it may have been due to the stress of the situation they were left in with the Rover sitter. Our other dog, Bella, now has severe food aggression. She has NEVER been this way and we have concluded that the other two dogs in the home has caused this. Her and Teddy have been sharing a food bowl and bones. Upon further investigation of the house, we discovered two welcome mats and a bathmat were urine soaked as was our living room rug in several spots. Our khaki-colored couch was discolored to the point we could only discern its original color by looking at the bottom of it(photo included) and was stained with dog vomit and urine. Unfortunately, no amount of cleaning will be able to bring it back to usable condition. There was a mold smell arising from the guest room where the sitter and his girlfriend stayed. Upon further investigation, we discovered several towels soaked in what we could only assume was coffee shoved in the bottom of the laundry hamper that had been there for several days. In our written and text instructions, we asked for Josh to do small obvious house-sitting tasks such as watering a few plants and getting the mail to which he did not do and correspondence and client checks for our business were left out in the mailbox prone and piling up for our entire trip. Due to the stress of the first Rover representative lying and having to shift gears and find another sitter as we were a thousand miles aways attempting to enjoy a rare vacation, our first couple of days were spent not relaxing but worrying about our pups. We assumed all was well but upon our arrival, were forced to spend the first several hours home tossing all the urine-soaked items in our house and scrubbing the floors to clean obvious spots of dried urine throughout. This situation has truly been a thing of nightmares, and we feel horrible to have left our beloved pups behind to endure this negligence. We can see a change in our dogs since returning as they have been quite afraid to leave our side. I can only hope that the trauma of the situation will subside, and they will return to the normal playful and lively pups we once knew. We are out several items that could not be salvaged including 4 dog beds, two welcome mats, a bath mat, a couch and a living room rug.
