Highlights
Pet care experience
Insured, CPR + First Aid Certified
CPR and pet first aid certified, insured beyond Rover's coverage. I'm currently offering regular recurring walks in the Haddam/Higganum area. I live off Walkley Hill in Haddam and can travel about fifteen minutes from there. I'm comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Confident walking pullers and reactive dogs and I do my best to be cognizant of triggers to keep walks calm and productive. I treat all animals with respect and empathy, with the same care and effort I put into my own pup. I'm available Mon-Sat early morning to mid afternoon. **Offering a discounted rate for walks between 10AM and 1PM as I'm trying to fill out my midday schedules**

Amazing job with 3 hyper dogs, very attentive and the daily photos were great!

Dude came in and made my lovely little Darla feel right at home. Thanks again for showing Darla a little love. Much appreciated. -Stephen

Thanks for being so patient with Dallas!

Josh took great care of our dogs (large breed and very energetic). It was a relief to know they were in good hands.

Josh is an amazing petsitter! He has watched over my cat while I was on vacation and he took amazing care of her. He is trustworthy and reliable, I truly recommend having Josh take care of your pets!
Our shepherd mix, Koda, gets worked up when he sees other dogs. Josh understood right away and planned routes that kept her calm. Over time, she’s been less reactive on our walks, we attribute that to his calm and steady handling.

Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I stay vigilant during walks to keep your pet safe, avoiding possible triggers and unsafe situations is my priority. I keep up with first aid and handling techniques and also carry medical supplies when hiking. All gear is checked prior to walks to ensure safety.
Pets
A typical day
I aim to keep walks and play sessions engaging while always being aware of surroundings and your pets needs. Their safety and comfort is my priority. I tend to cover 1 to 1.5 miles in a 30 minute walk, depending on various factors. I provide dogs with structure while still granting them agency to make some of their own decisions so they can have fun and be themselves.
