Bristol Dog Dad
Dogs have always been part of my life, and I still miss my border collie Reggie (he’s the one in the snowy photo in my gallery!). A friend suggested I join Rover after seeing how much I loved looking after my friends’ dogs, and I’ve been on here ever since. I’m confident caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I love taking the time to get to know each dog that stays with me, and I’ve built up a great group of regulars that I’m always excited to see and host again. One thing that I really love to do is ensure that you receive plenty of photo updates during your dog’s stay - photography’s a hobby of mine - so you can relax knowing and seeing that your dog is happy, comfortable, and being well cared for.

Josh is very experienced with looking after dogs, great at keeping you in the loop and updating you. He had my Border Collie for a week and handled her brilliantly even with her sometimes moody attitude.
Josh was great; brilliant communication in the lead up to booking, gave great updates and sent photos while looking after Haggis and it was clear Haggis had a really lovely time with him. Would definitely recommend as a safe pair of hands for your dog, thanks Josh :)
This was the first time our special boy had been away from someone he knows. Josh was super patient and understanding of his nervousness and kept us updated on progress. Our boy certainly didn't seem distressed when we picked him up and I'm sure that he'd be very keen to go back for the copious treat feeding and outings that he experienced. There are very few people I would trust to look after my angel but would trust Josh to look after him again.

Josh took such good care of Lenny! He gave him such a fun day out he's come home very tired and happy. He is clearly very experienced with dogs and put Lenny at ease from the start. We also got great updates of his day. Would certainly recommend and I'm sure Lenny will be back 😊
Josh had Poppy for 3 days/2 nights, she was very well looked after and I will definitely re book! Communication was excellent and Josh sent through loads of great pictures throughout the stay. It looked like Poppy had the best time. Thanks Josh!

Schedule
My work is really flexible - I can flex my hours and I can work remotely/from home with ease, so it’s likely that I will be able to fit around your dog’s routine. I’m based centrally in Bristol, with easy access to nearby parks and the harbourside.

Safety, trust & environment
Happy to discuss whatever may make you feel comfortable and at ease, as I know each dog will have their own needs and quirks. For boarding, I live in an apartment and usually give any visiting dogs their own space in my spare room to sleep; this is also where I work, so during the day they will have plenty of time with me. Most of my previous visitors find my sofa bed particularly comfortable to chill out on for the day!
A typical day
A morning and lunchtime walk around the harbour to stretch the legs, and evenings we’ll venture a bit further to Victoria Park to throw a ball around and plenty of sniffing time on the way. I like to always try and include dogs into my day, so if they’re happy to join me at the pub, then I’ll happily take them with me.
