Availability

Pet care has been part of my routine for years, so I’m very used to structuring my days around walks, feedings, and playtime. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I can accommodate early‑morning potty breaks, midday walks, and evening drop‑ins during the week. On weekends I’m available for boarding and longer stays, and I build my personal plans around the pets in my care so they remain my top priority. Consistency is important to me, so I stick closely to each dog’s normal routine, from mealtimes to bedtime.

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet like my own, and safety is always my first focus after many years of sitting on Rover. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, double‑check leashes, harnesses, and gates, and never let dogs off leash in unsecured areas. My home is pet‑friendly and set up to be safe and comfortable, with clean water always available, cozy spots for naps, and space for supervised play. I’m attentive to body language and behavior so I can catch stress or discomfort early, and I send regular photo and message updates so you always feel informed and reassured. If needed, I can crate your dog for downtime or when I briefly step out, and I’m comfortable managing basic medications and special routines.

Information Josh A. would like to know about your pet

Before a stay, I like to know as much as possible about your pet so I can tailor my care to them. Please tell me about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or mobility issues, as well as feeding schedules and any foods or treats that are off‑limits. It’s very helpful to know your dog’s typical energy level, favorite activities, and any training cues or house rules you’d like me to keep consistent. I also ask about anxiety triggers (like storms, separation, or other dogs), reactivity on walks, and how your pet does with strangers or other animals. The more detail you share, the better I can match your routine and make your dog feel safe, happy, and at home with me.

A typical day

A typical day with me balances exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of affection based on your dog’s age and energy level. We usually start with a potty break and a walk to get some morning wiggles out, followed by breakfast and a little quiet time. During the day, I rotate between walks, play sessions (like fetch, tug, or puzzle toys), and training refreshers using the cues you’re already working on. If I’m boarding, dogs enjoy supervised time in my home and yard, with structured breaks so they don’t get over‑tired, plus lots of cuddles, brushing, and one‑on‑one attention. In the evening, we wind down with another walk, dinner, and a calm, cozy environment so they can relax and sleep comfortably.

Pet care experience

I grew up with animals my whole life. I have a passion for pets of all sizes and species. I am excited to be able to help you by caring for your pets while you are away. Your babies will be cared for and loved just as if they were my own. As of right now I will be staying in New Jersey and will be looking for part time work in the mean time, I have such a passion for animals and feel as thought this would be a great way to offer a helping hand. I’m available most days of the week for all of the services that Rover offers. Having dogs of my own, I know how needy some can be and I am here to help Being able to provide healthy food , giving your pet 24/7 access to fresh drinking water, providing a safe cozy shelter, being able to take them for more than 2 walks a day while allowing the pet to get the exercise it needs
