I'd follow your lead on their needs and work within the four pillars of of the positively approach (as taught by Victoria Stilwell; appreciate the dogs point of view, recognise and meet the dogs needs, understand and apply positive training/ leadership, avoid fear and intimidation).

Josephine took great care of our puppy, Beef, during his 6-hour day visit. Communication was really good throughout, and she kept us well informed, which gave us peace of mind. She took everything we wanted into consideration and made sure Beef was well looked after. When we picked him up, he was fast asleep and seemed really happy once awake, which is always a good sign that he's had a lovely day. We'd definitely be happy to use Josephine again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

I came home to a reassuringly happy 12 year old poodle having had videos of her being petted and prancing around in equal measure being sent each day. Couldn't ask for more from Josie, she looked after Dottie as though she was her own favourite pet. Thank you so much.
Josie was a fantastic minder for my cat Poppy. She took endless notes when she first visited, so I was very confident. She sent daily updates and pictures whilst we were away, and it was lovely to see our normally cautious cat respond to her so positively. Thank you Josie!
Patch absolutely loves Josie who was fantastic at using her experience to get to know him quickly. Will definitely be booking more walks for Patch.

Schedule
A great lover of the outdoors I am out hiking or running in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District daily with my own rescue hound Rupert. I've grown up with dogs of all sizes and been lucky enough to have three of my own rescues. My current boy Rupert was adopted at 11 weeks and I have trained him to be a friendly and obedient beast (he's 45kgs!). I have a dog training diploma and canine first aid qualification and I'm in the process of studying for diplomas in dog behaviour and nutrition to formalise my experience. I also have two moggies, Loki and Stewie who we adopted from a local farm who love the wild environment we live in and their snuggles in bed every day.
