Retired, fit, young at heart, active, outdoor enthusiast! My husband and I work out, hike, skate, ski, lead a healthy lifestyle. Have had family pets all my life. Experience minding assortment of breeds, age, sizes of pets, previously house sitting for over a decade. I am excited to offer doggy boarding care at my cottage SPRING SUMMER FALL. Your dog will love the freedom my property allows, to swim if they enjoy or walking the trails, or simply hanging out and enjoying one another’s company. My rural property offers easy shallow entry into the St. Lawrence river. Doggo's LOVE to play in the river, the shoreline is a mix of sandy beach/rocky. In person meeting welcome.

Our young and energetic labrador had a wonderful weekend with Josephine who kept us updated throughout his stay.He had lots of exercise and swimming g which he adores and he came back to us happy and content. We would highly recommend Josephine’s service and will be booking her again when we need care for Jib!
Josephine has such a calm and centred energy. She is responsive in her communication and was diligent having a meet and greet before hosting Luna. Luna can lack confidence with other dogs, Josephine was a strong leader in managing hosting 2 dogs at once so Luna came home well and content.
Josephine is so great! She cares deeply about animals, and is very loving and kind to our pup. She has a beautiful property on the lake, which is perfect for our pup who is very active and loves to run around/swim. She takes good care to bring him on long walks too and frequently sends updates with photos, which is really appreciated. Remi is already looking forward to his next visit. We recommend Josephine highly!
Josephine recently took care of my 2 standard poodles - 12 years old and 4 years old. The 4 year old was rehomed to me a year ago and is a challenging dog. Josephine was just fantastic with both of them - taking care of the 12 year old's mobility issues and making sure the 4 year old was exercised and entertained. It was so clear from the photos Josephine sent that both pups were having a grand time and we have already booked their next stay!
I can't recommend Josephine enough—she was amazing! Before our 14-day trip, she met with us so Ollie could get comfortable, and he loved her from the start. She kept us updated with photos and messages, which we really appreciated. Josephine went above and beyond, even leaving our home cleaner than when she arrived. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!
Josephine stayed with our Aspen over the weekend and she thoroughly enjoyed her walks and tender loving and attentive care. Highly recommend!

Schedule
Married, retired, no children or pets at home, my attention and time is with your dog. If my husband isn’t working, he is helpful and joins in providing fun and company for your furry one. With a maximum 2 pooches at a time, my days are spent outdoors and indoors, swimming, walking, cycling, reading, painting, listening to music, Netflix and simply hanging out with my fur friends. It brings me joy to be in the company of furry ones. I enjoy playing with their dog toys like “tug a war”, throwing a ball or frisbee.

Safety, trust & environment
Reading a pets personality is important and allowing them to accept me comes quickly. Dogs boarding at my cottage will be happy with my idyllic, rural, waterfront location. They can enjoy swimming, walking or hanging outdoors/indoors with me. It is important for me to know if your dog has good recall or needs to be leashed at all time whilst outdoors.
A typical day
A typical day is cooing & cuddling/pats when waking up, feedings, walks and playtime. Reading the dogs needs may involve spending time outdoors, relaxing indoors and simply enjoying each others company. I follow the needs and instructions of the dog owner to ensure your pet is happy and enjoying their days with me.
