Before your fur-babies are in my care, I like to ask questions about expectations to the client and give them the opportunity to ask me questions and clarify any topics we would need to talk through. I prefer to do a meet and greet and allow the pet to warm up to me as naturally as possible. While in my care, I keep pet parents updated on activities, routines, and any changes in their pets that might come up.
Information Josephine D. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog crate trained or do they prefer to roam? Is your pet on a routine or a schedule? What is the routine/schedule? Any enrichment that your pet likes best? How do they do with other animals (large and small)? Does your pet have any allergies? Any health problems? Are they on any short term or long term medications? Best ways to administer them? Does your pet have any special quirks or behaviors? How do you manage them within your home? How would you like me to handle them?
A typical day
I am big on providing enrichment. There are 6 major categories and I like to try to create a scheduled day for each kind. We can do anything from watching dog/cat TV, to freezing treats in a damp towel, to providing safe new smells and so much more! Physical exercise is always highlighted in animal care, however a mental workout has been shown to be super effective and engaging in helping to exhaust a high energy pet. I am in the process of creating a “Report Card” so I can keep track of what your pet is most interested in and their behaviors throughout their stay with me!

Animal Lover and Welfare Enthusiast
Pet care experience
Hello there! My name is Jossi, I have over five years of professional experience caring for animals through various daycare/boarding facilities and a service dog training facility. Along with my personal passion for animals and nature. Over the years, I have had the privilege to gain knowledge in many different aspects of Animal Welfare! I am trained on dosing different medications, Animal CPR/ First Aid, and medically needed restrictive activity. I have knowledge in managing special quirks in fur-babies (resource guarding, playing keep away, mouthiness, etc) and I take pride in providing a safe environment for your pet to explore and learn how to redirect energy into productive outlets. This is supplemented with tons of enrichment to promote mental stimulation and small tips to help owners understand pet needs so that we can team up to create a setting for pets to be happy and healthy! I am a big communicator and love to keep parents updated on their pets, I know how stressful it can be being away from your fur-babies, rest assured I will do whatever I can (within reason) to ensure the comfort of everyone. I am also very honest and if I feel I am not a good fit, I will communicate that as soon as I know. I strive to create an open and tolerant environment for families and look forward to welcoming new families into the pack! A little about me: I have always loved wildlife and being in nature. I am a big adventurer and love to explore new areas. I am okay handling an array of different critters. I have had everything from hamsters, ferrets, and birds to cats and dogs of all sizes. I currently have a large dog (Cotufo), three kitties (Critter, Wybie, & Stitch) and a Bearded Dragon (Tater Tot). Outside of my love for nature, I spend my time playing games, watching films, and being creative through various outlets!
Reviews
Calling Josephine an animal lover is an understatement to say the least. No matter what she does she always put the animal first no matter the circumstance. She is an owner of a dog herself and she’s even taken care of my own dog. Trust me when I say my dog is a handful, he talks back, he’s bull headed, and quite difficult at times to interact with yet she was able to do it. She’s extremely loving and caring and always has everyone’s and everything’s best interests at heart and will take great care of whatever type of dog is thrown her way. I definitely highly recommend her to pet owners.
Jossi is the most dependable pet owner I know! She’s a very loving person and will put pets first to make sure they are happy and healthy. She cares about my dogs and her friend’s animals as if they were her own Pup and spoils all the fur babies!(which explains why they all tend to love her so much!)
