Pet care experience
Loving care when you can’t be there
Dogs have been part of my family my whole life! For the past 20 years, I’ve had 3–4 dogs at home, so caring for multiple dogs is part of my everyday routine. I understand that every dog has their own personality, habits, and needs, and I’ll take the time to learn what makes yours feel comfortable and loved. One of my dogs is diabetic, so I have hands-on experience giving insulin injections and administering medications. I understand how important it is to follow care instructions carefully and maintain a consistent routine. Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, or a little extra patience and attention, I’ll care for them with the same love I give my own.

Ratings and reviews
Joe looked after my Irish setter, Wendy, for a week, and I felt comfortable leaving her in his care. He took the time to learn her routine and sent photos and updates without me having to ask. It was reassuring to know she had company and plenty of attention while I was away. Wendy was happy and well cared for when I returned. Joe was easy to communicate with, and I’d happily book with him again.

Schedule
My wife and I both work from home, and we’re homebodies at heart! I love having dogs keep me company throughout the day, whether they’re snoozing nearby or taking a break with me for some playtime. Being home gives me flexibility for regular potty breaks, meals, and plenty of attention. Dogs are already a big part of our daily routine, and I’d love to make yours feel right at home, too.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Our home has a fenced yard for supervised play and potty breaks, along with three friendly dogs who are part of our family. I’ll take introductions slowly and give your dog time to settle in at their own pace. I also have crates in several sizes for dogs who are accustomed to them, and I’ll follow your instructions about their use. When caring for your dog in your home, I’ll respect your space and keep their familiar routine as consistent as possible, including meals, walks, potty breaks, and any medication needs we discuss beforehand. I’ll make sure doors and gates are secured, give your dog plenty of attention, and send photos and updates so you know how they’re doing. Whether at my home or yours, your dog’s comfort, safety, and individual needs are my priority.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day will include plenty of attention, outdoor time in our fenced yard, playtime, and lots of opportunities to relax and hang out with us. Since my wife and I work from home, your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and can settle in as part of our normal day. I’ll follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, and potty schedule as closely as possible. Whether they love playing, exploring outside, or just curling up nearby for some company, I’m happy to let them enjoy the day at their own pace.

- I’d love to know about your pet’s normal routine, personality, energy level, and favorite activities. Please let me know about feeding schedules, medications or special needs, as well as anything that may make them nervous or uncomfortable. I’d also like to know how they get along with other dogs and people, whether they are crate trained, and if they have any behaviors I should be aware of, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, or trying to escape. The more I know about your pet, the better I can make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and happy while in my care.
