Joseph has helped us three times now. He house sits for us and he’s always there when he says he will be there. The dogs love him. I feel a peace of mind when he’s stays with them. He sends pictures and updates.

I paid Joseph for three overnight stays to watch my house and care for my pets. However, on the evening of what should have been his last overnight stay, my home security cameras showed him throwing his luggage in his car and driving away. The following morning, twelve hours later, when my cameras showed he still hadn't returned to my house, I texted him to ask what was going on and received a return text that he had a family matter and wasn't able to stay the final night. He clearly never intended to tell me he wasn't honoring the terms of our agreement, and made no attempt to get someone to cover for him or to provide a refund for not honoring his commitment. Joseph also made some mistakes you wouldn't expect from an experienced pet owner or petsitter, like feeding the cats directly from their canned food cans without realizing the risk of injury from sharp edges, mixing the dry and wet foods in the same dish, and never bringing in the mail, but those are minor issues compared to the lack of trustworthiness and integrity demonstrated by his leaving before his housesitting assignment was completed. I will not hire this petsitter again.
