My wife and I both work part-time from home, which gives us highly flexible schedules to prioritize your pet's care throughout the week. Our daily routine naturally includes multiple walks along the scenic D&H Canal trail, which directly borders our property. Because our work keeps us at home, guest pets enjoy consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, and plenty of playful companionship.

Our home sits far back from the road at the end of a long driveway, offering a very quiet, safe environment. We sit on 10 acres of land, featuring 3 groomed acres for supervised play and 7 acres of private woods. While our yard is only partially fenced, we have two large, fully enclosed decks that are completely fenced in—perfect for safe sunbathing, lounging, and secure outdoor activities. We also utilize a collapsible fence that we can pull out and set up to create customized secure boundaries if necessary. For exercise, dogs are strictly supervised and kept on-leash as we head down the driveway to our private access point for the D&H Canal trail, keeping them completely away from traffic.

A typical day
We start every day with a walk on a D&H canal, from there on nice days we can spend some time on one of our fenced in decks. We can also spend time inside our central heat and A/C home that has several couches and dog beds that are available to rest and nap on. We'll also have a huge basket of toys available to play with, and plenty treats for the good dogs who visit with their parents permission. During this time we will be taking photos and ensuring a happy and safe stay for your pet.

Pet care experience
Originally from upstate NY, I spent time working as a professional veterinary assistant in Atlanta, GA while in school. In this role, I worked directly under a veterinarian to monitor, clean, and provide medical check-ups for dogs at local pet centers, while also providing care for other animals at a boarding and daycare resort. With this hands-on experience, I am deeply familiar with dog health, sanitization, and administering medications. I enjoy spending time with dogs, understand how to spot early signs of illness, and know how to keep dogs on a fun and healthy routine. Since moving back to upstate NY, I do part-time work as a tech consultant from home. This allows me to give plenty of attention to your pet, while also providing plenty of outdoor activities. My wife also works from home, which allows her the flexibility to help as well. Our house is situated right next to the D&H Canal trail, and we take regular walks on a daily basis.Whether your dog is a growing puppy who needs attentive care or an older dog who requires a reliable, experienced handler, my top priority is maintaining their health, safety, and happiness while you are away.

Our dog had the absolute best time staying with Joseph. Not only is he a caring responsible dog owner who ensured our dog got plenty of attention and all his needs met, but he has an amazing dog friendly property with lots open grass for our dog to run around and play. Would highly recommend 10/10.
I have known Joey for over a decade and have seen his love for dogs on a first hand basis. He's had 2 dogs since I've known him Danger and Friday. I have seen how much care and attention he has given those dogs. How he has worked hard to raise 2 well adjusted dogs. Because of this when I first needed someone to watch my dog I immediately thought of Joey. He's watched my dog on more than one occasion and showed my dog the same love and attention as his own. Hi, I fostered many Greyhounds over the years as the Treasurer of the Greater Rochester Greyhound Association. When Joey was available, I trusted him as he was great with the dogs and I could depend on him when needed. He followed the care instructions & I never worried when they were in his care. At one time, I had 4 of my own that Joey spent a lot of time with. Joey has had 2 dogs of his own over the years, both Jack Russell Terriers. The 1st he raised from a pup. He was great in training and caring for him. He is currently caring for his 2nd. Joey has really had to step up because, as this one aged, he has developed a seizure disorder. Joey is very conscious of his needed care & meds. I'm very impressed with his concern & care he gives to him. Joey has a big heart when it comes to dogs.
