Work from home full time. Always will be someone home. We typically walk our dog twice a day depending on the heat. Above 85°we just do short play in our fenced in backyard.

We are very careful and loving to all animals. We are near VCA Merrimac and Middle Plantation Animal hospitals, within 1.2 miles from the house. We maintain a calm, safe household and ensure that everyone is as anxious free as possible. Our dog loves having other pups around. Your dog will quickly become our dogs best friend!

Let me know if your dog has any special needs. Bring anything your dog needs to be comfortable and relaxed. Please let us know your pets temperament, we can make it work with other animals. We want to meet the needs of your pets while they are in our care - whether it’s a specific morning/bedtime routine/play/snack schedule.
A typical day
We wake up during the week at 6am. After getting some coffee and breakfast, the dog gets a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood. Kids get on the buses and I return home for work. My office is in the living room so the pets are always within sight. Pets can come and go from the fenced in backyard from a pet door all day. During lunch breaks, our dog gets another 15-20 min walk. In the evenings we walk again around the block. Bedtime is around 8pm.

Wife and I grew up with dogs and cats. Experienced with all ages of animals and have trained numerous dogs. Cats….well they do what they wish!

Musket had a super fun time while staying with Joseph and Alexis! They were welcoming, responsive and very flexible. Musket enjoyed having Lola and Noodles to play with and keep him company. Would definitely recommend!
Peyton had a great time here. Joseph and Alexis were kind, quick to respond, and flexible and wore my dog out in the best way. 10/10 would bring her again!
Joseph and Alexis were SOOOO good. They treated my two dogs like their own. Duke is afraid of wooden floors so they put blankets on the wooden floors for him. They have a great dog and cat that my dogs got along with very well. They sent me pictures and videos every day. Alexis is home all day so the dogs were never left alone. They have a huge back yard but took the dogs on walks everyday. I just can't say enough nice things about this family!!
Went to the Williamsburg area for a week and participated on the Yorktown day celebration on October 19th. Brough my two golden retrievers and Joseph and Alexis took care of them while I was away all day. They are fantastic. My "babies" did great and they keep us informed. Definitely recommend.
