We used to work from home a lot more, which has unfortunately changed recently. However we still WFH a lot, and when we do go out for work it is very rarely more than 6 hours. We always prioritise your pup, so if you make an enquiry and we don't think we'll be able to be home enough to provide a comfortable and fun stay for your dog we will say so honestly, because your pup's wellbeing always comes first!

Safety, trust & environment

Our flat is on the ground floor, there is no stairs and there is easy access to our own private garden. During the warm seasons the dogs can roam freely where they fell like. Depending on your usual routine, we feed/walk and give medications or do special activity by your instructions. We have a couch where we allow dogs to sit depending on their size, although we encourage owners to bring their pets with their beds, so the dog can have their personal space in our home and feel safe. We do not give any extra "treats" from the kitchen counter (unless it has been instructed or agreed in advance with you). Overall, we truly and very deeply love dogs. We have met a lot of them over the years and we cherish the love and connection we get from dogs when the trust is established. Let us be your fairy "aunties "where you drop your kids at and feel at ease, because you know they are in safe and loving hands :)

Information Jorige J. would like to know about your pet

We trust dog owners to give all the vital information for the dog's wellbeing when they're staying here. That includes their physical needs, medical problems and medications, feeding/walking/sleeping schedule and commands and phrases they listen to. Please let us know if your dog has any bad habits as well - like stealing socks, chewing on furniture, aggression, stealing of the table... just so we are ready :)

A typical day

Depending on the dog and its needs, we take them to a dog park 10min walk away from us where we play with the ball with them at least once a day. Evening walks are a bit more chilled out, but that depends on the dog again. If the weather is bad, we do not force dogs to walk if we see they do not want it, so we play with the ball at home ( we have a long living room and a hallway for them to run). We give regular cuddles to the dogs so they feel more included in our lives and also it is very much fun and helps us build our relationship with the pet. If the owner permits, we do play some treat finding games and exercises.

Pet care experience

Me and my partner Nix live alone in our flat on the ground floor with a garden that all of the dogs we look after love to enjoy. We recently changed our work arrangements, which means we are no longer able to look after dogs with separation anxiety because we're not working from home as often anymore! However the bulk of our work is still from home, so when we do have to go out it'll be about 5-6 hours at most in most cases, and rarely more than 8. We know the Blackhorse Road area very well, we have lived here for 9+ years now so we know all the favourite places of our fluffy friends. With 9+ years of dog care experience, we have seen that dogs like stability, so we have learnt very well to follow the owners set rules to make the pets happy. We will love them anyways, but mostly the way they have learnt from You : walks/feeding time/ sleeping routine/ entertainment and exercise/ medications - all following your instructions. And the only thing we spoil them with is cuddles and love... no extra pounds after vacation ;)

Raye had a lovely stay. We received lots of regular updates about how she was getting on, including photos and videos of her out and about on her walks and snuggling up in the evenings. Raye is a super energetic spaniel puppy and Jorige and Nix handled her really well and made sure to keep her normal routine 🐾🐾🐾

Jorige really stepped in for us when we needed it most. Our original sitter cancelled at the last minute before a trip, and she was able to take Dylan on very short notice. She was easy to communicate with from the start and kept us updated with messages and photos while we were away, which made a big difference. Dylan can be an anxious dog, but he clearly settled in well and was really comfortable with her. She was alsovery helpful in coordinating the handover with another sitter while we were away, which took a lot of pressure off us and made everything run smoothly. Thank you so much for your help! We would definitely book again!

Jorige and her partner Nix were lifesavers!! We had to book at the last minute after another sitter cancelled, and they really stepped in and helped us out of a difficult situation. Communication was excellent throughout. Jorige kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear Myles was in very good hands. He can be quite an anxious dog, but seeing his tail wagging when I walked through the door said it all. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring, reliable sitters. A big thank you to you both! :)
