Cat Mom & Special Needs Caregiver

As a cat mom, I am thoroughly experienced with cleaning litter, brushing, feeding and administering oral medication. I however don’t do injections. Any oral form of medication like liquid, pill or powder, I’m perfectly fine with doing and have the most experience with. This goes for dogs as well. Oral medication is just fine for me. I have experience with all sorts of cats from ones that act like dogs, to shy ones, to feisty ones and also elderly ones. I understand that with elderly cats it takes time for them to take their medicine and sometimes need extra focus as well as extra maintenance. I also have tons of experience with stray dogs and stray cats. I’ve dealt with plenty of cats who want nothing to do with me and will act extremely territorial. I’ve also dealt with dogs who will bark at me and not let me go near them as they are simply being cautious about not trusting strangers. I don’t take any of these behaviors personally, as to me this makes sense because I’m in their space and they’re just trying to protect it and their safety. The stray mentality is one I have come to understand to a science. If you have a dog or a cat who has trust issues or separation anxiety, I assure you I will be patient and not overstep my boundaries, while trying to let your pet know I’m a safe person to be around. I also have plenty of experience with special needs dogs and cats, or pets with disabilities. I’ve cared for dogs and cats who are blind, have narcolepsy, or have missing limbs. If your pet has special accommodations due to a condition, I understand this will take extra time and care, and I’m more than willing to meet your pet’s needs. This includes basic hygiene or grooming needs. I regularly clean my own cat’s ears, brush his teeth, wipe his fur coat and eyes, bathe him, and clip his nails. I can provide these grooming services as well to your cat. If you’re in need of care for your smaller pets such as bunnies or guinea pigs, I have experience in that too :)

Jorie was an easy choice as a sitter for Carlos and Walt. She came over twice before our vacation to meet the cats and become familiar with their routines. Walt requires medication twice a day and Jorie gave us updates when he received his doses. She was great with staying in communication and sent lots of videos and photos. Cats were settled and stayed in their routines after we arrived home. Superstar cat sitter!

We’re so glad we found Jorie! She was responsive and set up a meet and greet for us. Our pup Madden felt comfortable right away. Jorie kept us updated and was in communication our entire trip and sent photos of our pup a couple times each day which we loved!!! We felt at ease and our pup had a great time! We highly recommend! Thank you Jorie!

Jorie was amazing. She offered to do a meet and greet before either of us confirmed the booking. This instantly put my mind at ease. My dog Carter immediately gravitated towards Jorie, which also eased my anxiety of leaving my dog with someone I didn’t know. She was communicative and sent pictures of Carter throughout the entirety of the 4 day stay. Thank you Jorie for your attentiveness and kindness towards Carter and myself. I truly appreciate it and look forward to future bookings!
