Pet care experience

Loving and playful with extra time

I have a lot of extra love and attention I can give your pet! I grew up with a family dog who was abused by his former owners and would act aggressively so I know how to handle sensitive pets with extra care. I have been a pet sitter informally for friends and have a few regular clients from Rover. I also pet/house sit via Trusted Housesitters and fostered briefly over covid! I’m attentive and detail-oriented, while also flexible to the needs of your pet. I live and work downtown, with a standard M-F job. I don’t travel too often for work and can usually adjust my schedule when necessary. I’m trustworthy, honest and reliable - when I say I’ll do something, it’s a guaranteed promise so rest assured I will follow your instructions to a “T”. You won’t regret hiring me to look after and care for your furry loved one! *Note: Not accepting first time sits/boarding longer than 4 days*

Jorie was an amazing sitter !! I received detailed updates every day while I was gone and she did a fantastic job following my senior dogs medicine and feeding routine. I will definitely be booking again 😊

Jorie was great with my anxious dog Bear! She was patient, calm, and gently assertive where needed and he felt very comfortable with her. He can be reactive with strangers and she handled him well. Bear fell into his normal routine quickly, and relaxed at home during the house sit.

House Sitting • Feb 04, 2026

Jorie was absolutely amazing! This was my first time using Rover for an overnight stay, and she made the entire experience so easy and comforting. We met in person for a meet-and-greet, and she was incredibly friendly and truly engaged in getting to know my pup, which meant so much to me. I left detailed instructions, and she followed everything perfectly. She also left my home exactly how she found it, which I really appreciated. Jorie kept me consistently updated with texts, photos, and messages after every walk, which gave me so much peace of mind. Leaving my puppy is always hard, and the worry is real but Jorie completely eased my anxiety. I’m so grateful for her care and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and kind. ❤️

Jorie is my favorite sitter for my Winston. She a superstar. She give extra care and lots of photos. She also gives written updates of my dog activities and his performance. Jorie goes the extra mile to make sure that Winston is feeling better if he's out in the cold and eating better. Thanks again Jorie for coming to my rescue at the last minute when I needed you.

Jorie really took care of my dog. He loved her and missed her on the first day we were at home. He hasn't done that with any Sitter. Jorie contacted me every day with pictures and reports on my dog. I highly recommend her.

Schedule

I’m currently working a hybrid schedule and home half of the week but will do what I can to be remote most weekdays so your pet will rarely be alone unless specified in advance. Multiple dogs can make feeding/walk schedules hard to accommodate, as my workdays are typically occupied by calls/virtual meetings.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in an apartment
Does not have a yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 4-8 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I keep my home pet-proofed and have a big window overlooking my balcony and street which dogs love! When sitting, I take extra care to accommodate the pets in their own environment and stay in close contact with my clients. I live alone and have no pets so I love having a furbaby to spend time with! For boarding, it’s important that pets are not vocal/barking and don’t get separation anxiety out of respect for my neighbors on days when I work away from home and have to leave them alone.

A typical day

Depending on the request and home location, I will take the dog to preferred parks or open grassy areas (but prefer to keep dogs leashed). I am happy to brush dogs and will regularly pet them (my hand never gets tired!!). I’ll play with toys, chase them in your yard or let them enjoy a bone on their own - whatever they’re into!

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Dogs over 1 year old
No females in heat
Takes only 1 client at a time
Jorie can host up to 1 pet per night
I would like to know how welcoming your dog is to strangers and whether they are friendly with other dogs while on walks. Also, it’s helpful to know if their food/water consumption changes when their owner is away. For day care or boarding in my home, please share their comfort level with elevators, if they shed (preference for non-shedders) and how vocal they are (out of respect for my neighbors). *Note: Not accepting first time sits/boarding longer than 4 days*
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
