We love Jorge! He is fantastic with our dogs.

Jorge took great care of my cats while I was away, arriving early and staying late! They were very grateful for the company!

3 main issues: 1 - communication. He let me know when he had his first walk (Thurs at 10PM) and then I did not hear from him all day Friday. Messaged at 4:50 PM on Friday and did not get a response. Messaged again at 5:30 and he said he thought he had responded but forgot to hit send. Later, on Sunday, when messaging, he said he forgot to reply to a message and I had to double text again. Overall, had extremely minimal communication, and only really provided details when I asked. When he had his final walk, he did not provide a summary/information, and I had to ask alot of questions when I got home. 2 - He let me know on Saturday morning that he had gone 11hrs without walking the dog because he had gone to bed early with a headache. 11 hrs is way longer than the dog should go without a walk. Especially when I am paying someone to walk the dog. If you have a headache, then go to sleep but set an alarm for 8-9hrs later. I only found this out on accident, because he was having issues with the dog (which is not his fault, the dog can be difficult, as he is a rescue) and he told me. 3 - This is very minor, but the dog food, peanut butter, and medicine lids were all not properly screwed on and there was some dog food on the floor, table, and chair that should have been cleaned up. Positive things: as noted above, my dog is a rescue and is terrified of people. Jorge was clearly caring and patient with the dog, and was attentive in making sure he ate and went on walks. Overall: I think if Jorge improves his communication and focuses on details more, he can be great at his job, but I unfortunately will not be hiring him again for an overnight stay.
