I can’t recommend Jorge highly enough! From the moment I dropped my dogs off, it was clear how much thought, care, and energy he puts into making sure the dogs in his care are happy, safe, and having a great time. Jorge keeps the dogs active with trips to parks and dog parks, and he does a wonderful job managing their interactions with other dogs. His home is truly set up with dogs in mind—an amazing front yard with plenty of room to play, a secure fenced area, a pool, outdoor water, and lots of space for them to enjoy themselves. He even has an agenda for their day and pays close attention to feeding schedules, activity levels, and what each dog needs. What impressed me most were all the little things. When one of my dogs rolled in poo, Jorge washed her off—and then went above and beyond by giving my other dog some extra attention too, including conditioner and brushing her out. When they weren’t interested in their food after such an active day, he made sure they still got treats. He also sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout their stay, so I could see how much fun they were having. But the best review really came from my dogs themselves. On the second day, as soon as we pulled up, they jumped out and ran straight into Jorge’s house, excited to be back. That absolutely warmed my heart because there is no better reassurance than seeing your dogs genuinely happy to return. Jorge is incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful, and it’s obvious that he genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I felt completely comfortable knowing mine were with him. I would absolutely book with Jorge again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who will treat their dogs like his own.

Jorge G. is wonderful with dogs. If the term “the dog whisperer” wasn’t already taken that would be what Jorge should be called. He has been the trainer for our stubborn 100 pound Giant Schnauzer. Our dog started with Jorge when he was about 4 months old. Since his first initial training we have consulted with Jorge on 2 other separate occasions for specific dog behaviors and each time it worked wonders. Jorge is our go to person when we need daycare and overnight stays. We are always disappointed when he is booked and unable to accommodate us. We now book well in advance so we are able to get our first choice. I know my dog loves me. However, if he could choose his owner, he would choose Jorge!
When my husband and I moved to Tehachapi, our niece surprised us with a welcome-home gift in the form of a golden doodle. We instantly fell in love, but quickly realized this 4 weeks old puppy was going to be a lot of dog. We tried training our dog, whom we named Kingston, on our own but it was proving to be too difficult. However, when we found Jorge, everything changed. Jorge took the time to listen to our concerns about raising Kingston. Kingston is estimated to have an adult weight between 70 and 90lbs, and we wanted to make sure he wasn't going to accidentally hurt anyone due to his playfulness. Within 2 weeks, Kingston went from our little bundle of chaos to our little fur pal. The results are night and day. During the 2 week training program, Jorge would meet with us at the end of each day and give us a progress report, as well as behavioral changes we need to do on our part including confidence building, corrections, etc. Kingston went from not letting my wife and I sit down on the couch without him jumping on us, to now having his own spot on the floor between my wife and I while we enjoy a TV show. My wife and I can't thank Jorge enough for training Kingston. His kindness, patience, thoughtfulness, and results are worth every penny.
Jorge is one of the most professional and reliable dog trainers and sitters I’ve ever known. He approaches every dog with patience, confidence, and genuine care, quickly earning their trust while keeping clear structure and boundaries. Jorge is always punctual, communicates clearly, and treats each dog as an individual, adjusting his training and care to their specific needs. It’s obvious he takes his work seriously—whether it’s sticking to routines, reinforcing good behavior, or making sure dogs feel safe and comfortable. Any dog owner would be lucky to have Jorge caring for their pet.

Schedule
I’m available the majority of the week. This gives me opportunity to have the dogs socialize in groups or on walks during the day. I can drop off or pick up at an owners home if I’m able to, but I’m also open to meet people half way if it makes things easier.

Safety, trust & environment
Depending on the group I may have that day, I like to have them all in a play group. After I enjoy taking them on walks around the neighborhood or depending giving field trips to the park since I live close by. In the afternoon they get a nap time, usually if they get lunch I wait for them to rest before they revive their food. When nap time is over they return outside, back into play groups. Then the process repeats where they get another nap time, play time and then dinner if they receive one. I am also available to work around a specific routine or schedule may have for their own dog. My goal at the end of the day is for the dogs to receive good exercise, enriching social time and enjoy their rest period. A tired dog is a happy dog. Understanding that each dog is different and not all dogs have the same energy level, I try and give each dog the right amount attention they deserve to make them feel fulfilled and happy.

A typical day
The plan for a normal day is to try and let everyone socialize and play. Later we go out for a pack walk and settle down after with a nap.
