Pet care experience
Life’s short, pet dogs
Much like Romulus and Remus, I was raised with/by dogs growing up! I absolutely love dogs! Big dogs, lil dogs, fluffy dogs, energetic dogs, old dogs all dogs are great. I am currently without my 5 year old black lab for the next 6 months and want to get pets and walks to make up for the lost time with my pupperonni! My dogs name is Wanda, she is great but a ball of energy (like most labs). I have had her since she was a puppy and she is crate trained, house trained and just a very good girl! She is the light and soul of my life (dont tell my GF) ! I am trying to be healthy and would love to have a dog to walk with when I explore Sumter!

Safety, trust & environment
I am a 30 year old guy with no kids. My dog is my kid. My daily routine I had with Wanda was to let out every morning and play fetch with her or walk her. I would then bring her inside to calm down, I’d shower and then go back downstairs to feed her since she’s caught her breathe and cooled off by then. After she’s eaten I would let her out potty again and then she is chill for the day until evening time where I would bring her out on another walk or a swim at my cottage at home which I’m dearly missing and then when she has calmed down from that I would feed her dinner. Most nights I try to do 10ish mins of training with her and she loves the treats anyways so it’s very easy. She knows sit, stay (for a long time and a big distance), paw (both), she can spin, she can do a tunnel (go between my legs) and she can spin around me and sit on my left or right side! I will admit she is a lab and very food driven/motivated so training her was relatively easy with the right treats. She is the best and I miss my dog and want to be able to play with other people’s dogs!
Ratings and reviews
I couldn’t recommend Jordy more highly as a dog walker. He has a natural connection with dogs that’s honestly hard to describe—it’s like they instantly sense how much he loves them, and they return that love wholeheartedly. I’ve never seen a dog that didn’t immediately gravitate toward him, tails wagging and eyes full of trust. Back home in Canada, he has a charcoal Labrador retriever named Wanda, who is completely devoted to him. She’s not just his pet—he’s her person. The way he lights up when talking about her says everything you need to know about how deeply he cares for animals. What’s even more heartwarming is that he keeps an Instagram highlight dedicated to the dogs he’s met, complete with their names and photos. It’s a genuine way for him to share their stories and remember each one. To him, every dog is special. If you’re looking for someone to walk or care for your dog—someone who will treat them with the same affection and respect as if they were his own—Jordy is your guy. You won’t find someone more devoted, responsible, or joyful to be around your pup.
Jordy has been a dog lover for as long as I’ve known him, and he has been helping look after my 10yo husky, Wheeler, since he was a puppy. Taking him for walks, watching him on weekends or extended vacations while we were away, whatever it is Jordy is always happy to spend time with him and the feeling is mutual; Wheels always gets so excited to see him. He’s responsible and dependable; when my dog got out in the middle of the night a few months ago he was one of the first people I called and he was immediately ready to lead a search party. Jordy is a natural with animals and dogs especially. He’s got a great heart and I trust him implicitly, and you won’t regret trusting him with your dog - if anything, you’ll be glad you did!

Schedule
I am shift work but will balance my schedule accordingly to walk dogs or let them out when required. I mostly work night shift allowing me to have the flexibility during the day to get out for walks and stay active!
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsJordy can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- I love dogs that love me!! Therefore I don’t love having to do the medication thing because most dogs hate that! However if I am giving pills or oral medication you can totally expect it will be followed up with lots of peanut butter or treats of some variety to regain the dogs trust!
