I am able to stay with your pet all day and on weekends as well. The longest I would be out is 4 hours, but that would be very intermittent.

I have been taking care of pets for friends and family for the last 5 years and it’s always been a welcome opportunity as I was never allowed to have pets growing up. I love nature so long dog walks are never boring. I also have experience petsitting so I’ll make sure your pet is never lonely.

I hired Jordan to watch our two small dogs - who we consider part of our family - and to say we were disappointed with the experience is an understatement. We went to Florida for a long weekend with our daughter to visit her grandparents, and our primary dog sitter was unavailable, so we turned to Rover. Our dogs are rescues who came from traumatic situations so they have always suffered from some anxiety. Additionally, the younger one has a seizure disorder and requires life-saving medication 3 times a day. As such, we make their needs clear upfront and ensure the sitter is comfortable with this- not leaving them alone for more than 6 hours. We met Jordan twice before this stay and she was more than accommodating and agreed to administer the medication and sleep at our house. Other than spending time with them and administering the medication, sitting for the weekend just entails making sure they have food in their bowl, water, and letting them outside - doesn’t even need to take them for walks. Jordan agreed to administering this medication to our younger dog and to spending the night to combat the dogs’ anxiety and be present in case a seizure occurred. After staying just one night of a three-night stay, Jordan left the next morning for most of the day, returned for just one hour, and then left at 530pm. When I woke up the next day and checked the outdoor garage camera I saw that she never returned and I had no communication or notice. After several attempts to get ahold of her, I sent a friend over to check on the dogs and administer the medication. The house was covered in pee and the dogs were shaking because they had been left alone for 15 hours and counting. I finally got ahold of Jordan and she said she had stayed the night at home and was planning to return in the morning. This is a nightmare when you’re so far away and have to find other care urgently and put our dogs at risk. I would not want this to happen to anyone else, especially those with pets with medical issues.
Jordan is terrific! She is reliable and communicative and followed all of my instructions for my anxious pooch. She takes great pictures to boot!
