I like to know emergency information ahead of time. Like, "If the worst possible scenario happens, what do I need to know," e.g. the name and number of the vet, or other emergency contact. Obviously, I work to ensure worst case scenarios don't happen, but I like to be prepared. If there's anything you know about your pet--likes, dislikes, when to eat, etc...these would come in handy. I usually spend a good chunk of time simply listening to your pet to know when they're telling me something. So it's beneficial if I can be in the know ahead of time.

DOGS: I'm active, so I jog in the morning, and I usually take the dog with me. I'll also opt for at least 1 walk during the day. If it's a not-very-busy day I'll sometimes to 2 walks. If the dog is well-mannered I prefer letting the dog lead the walk for the most part, letting them sniff out wherever they please. CATS: In my experience, cats by in large are homebodies. If they do wander outside, they keep it to within a few houses. But I will often pay attention to how the cat is feeling and what they're into, then play with them accordingly, whether that's catching a wand or playing fetch with a ball.
