Safety, trust & environment
I live in a 650 sq. foot apartment on a busy street with my partner and medium size dog. Dogs are welcome on furniture. We take our dog (fully vaccinated and up to date) to the WSP dog run 3x daily but understand why other pet parents avoid the park so prepared to do so if needed. All plants in apartment are pet-safe. We have room to crate a small dog if needed.
Information Jordan G. would like to know about your pet
I can accommodate any special needs, triggers, fears, diet, etc. your dog may have. Just let me know ahead of time and I’ll come up with a plan to make sure your pup is comfortable.
A typical day
My own dog is a huge ball aficionado so we spend a lot of time playing fetch in the park. At home, I like to leverage toys that stimulate the mind like treat puzzles and games of tug.

Pet care experience
Hi! I am a freelance consultant seeking supplemental side work. In my earlier days, I managed content for Whole Dog Journal, a holistic dog care publication and leading voice on positive reinforcement training. Spending years of my career immersed in literature about every aspect of dog care imaginable, exclusively through the lens of positive training philosophy, has permanently shaped how I meet, interact with, and care for the animals in my life. A NY native, I have lived with dogs in the city my entire life, and I have pet-sit (both long- and short-term) for friends, friends-of-friends, and family here in the city for all of my teenage and adult life. Now a proud parent of one rescued mix born in Mississippi, I can attest first-hand to how reinforcement training has helped my shy, nervous guy out of his shell. With confirmed success, positive reinforcement now informs my approach to relationships (nonhuman and human alike) of all kinds, which explains the ease with which I earn the respect and affections of dogs, cats and small children wherever I go.
Reviews

Great job!
Very pleasant, professional and excellent with the dog. On time. Obviously likes dogs and vice versa. Our dog Scotty was so happy that he started barking for joy.
Jordan was my dog walker/dog sitter/house sitter for many years and I trusted her 100% with my fur babies. I still do and if I ever have the occasion to need someone to care for my pets, Jordan would be my first choice. She follows directions to a T and goes above and beyond when needed. I have observed her extensively caring for her own beloved dog and she covers all the bases : physical health, nutrition, mental/emotional health, and socialization. She is an exemplary pet parent and I know that she treats other people’s pets with as much care and thoughtful attention as she gives her own. I whole heartedly recommend her for a position at Rover. Anyone who chooses her is putting their pet into extremely capable and caring hands. Their pets will be very lucky!
