I’ve had cats since I was born, it’s what started my love affair with them. Animal Planet cemented it, with all the shows about cats plus the fancier cat shows :) I wanted to be a big cat foster for the longest time. Instead I just find myself forever involved with shelters, rescues, or just helping stray animals I find off the street. My first ever personal cat, I found outside my work when I was 22. He was alone and 6 weeks or so old, starving. I slowly earned his trust until I could trap him and he slowly learned to love me, became a total love bug. Had him 12 years and he sadly tragically passed sway this past March and it was my first major loss (somehow). It is what ultimately prompted me getting my mainecoon baby, Benny, as I couldn’t let my other cat be without a friend, and it helped distract me from the pain of losing my cat. Mainecoons have always fascinated me so it was a life long dream come true to finally be able to get one. As of now I live with my two kitties (the other is a domestic short hair grey boy named Sully) and my dog, Freya! :) I’ve fostered cats and dogs independently as well as through Gwinnett Humane, Angels Among Us, and Red Knoll Animal Care. I’ve also volunteered my time at various shelters such as PAWS, Hall Co, and Lifeline.
