I have over 4 years of clinical experience working with cats and I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and ALL sorts of other critters! I currently own a snake and a tortoise, so don’t worry if you’ve got some extra scaly friends you need a hand with 🐍 I’ve worked with cat and dog rescues across my undergrad, this has shown me how important earning trust is for our most nervous fluffy friends! I can administer insulin, oral medications, eye drops, and spend LOTS of time on walks or interactions to keep your kiddos active while you are gone!

I can easily manage dogs outside in a fenced yard, and I am capable of giving medications, treatments, and continuing basic training for your animals! Also, with my current occupation I have learned how to safely manage a frantic cat. Cats and dogs are all very different and require many adjustments that I am willing to use!

Jonnie is what I would call an animal whisperer. She is especially good with dogs and cats. She has this wonderful calm assertive energy that the dogs respond to so nicely. At the Humane Society she was always the one who had to walk the uncontrollable dogs because she was the only one that could control them. She is trustworthy, reliable and very organized. She walks our great Dane all the time. Our great Dane goes crazy when she sees Jonnie coming, and cries when she sees Jonnie leave. I recommend her to anybody.

Schedule
I am a fresh graduate from UNL, so I am in between summer employment and an internship that starts in the fall! Until then I have ALL the time in the world!
