👋🤠 About Me: Hi! My name is Jonathan (he/him) and I've had the pleasure of being around cats my entire life. While I'm a lover of all animals and pets and grew up with many furry friends, I've always had a special connection with cats. You probably feel the same — their chaotic, silly and high-energy nature makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes. But most of all, cats have always inspired me via their strong boundaries, their independence and their unique personalities. It goes without saying but cats don't live in our world -- we live in theirs. 🙋♂️🏠 My experience, and how I'll care for your cats: As noted above, I've cared for and lived with cats my entire life (over 30 years), and have two middle-aged cats of my own. I've cared for all ages from kittens to elderly cats, and am comfortable with all temperaments, preferences and methods of care. I practice a listen-and-learn-first pet care approach: I want your cat to have as much consistency in their routine while you're gone as possible, and will tailor my approach to their needs and level of comfort in being around me as we get to know each other. I am also comfortable providing care via medication, and know and appreciate how important it is that I get their food and schedule right. 📃💬 How we'll work together: So that I can provide as consistent and comfortable care for your fur children as you do, I greatly appreciate clear guidance on their preferences, personality and needs. I also will always be fast and reliable in my communications with you while you're gone, including sharing adorable pictures of their hijinks 😸. 🐈🐈 About my cats - My partner and I have the privelege of living with two sweet, gentle middle-aged boys. Their names are Eugene and Bean. Eugene is an 8 year-old bi-color tabby who loves sleeping in sunny windows, playing fetch, and advocating (loudly) for his needs. Bean is a 6 year-old Siamese/American Short Hair mix who loves eating, snuggling on beds and under covers, and purring almost constantly. Eugene and Bean are also occasional BFFs, cuddling up in a big cat pile when they are feeling extra loving 😻.

I am focused on providing calm, quiet and respectful care to your cat, and that means I carry that same respect and mindset over to your home, and where applicable, your neighbors. In advance of my visits to take care of your cats, I look forward to discussing any specific preferences or concerns you may have within your home so that I can be mindful of your space, and minimize disruption.

This is the second time Jonathan has cat sitted for us and he has proven to be very reliable and professional. More so, Jonathan is a delightful person who is incredibly good with animals. Our cat loves him like he’s part of the family. Jonathan will always be our first choice and we’d be lucky to get him!
Johnathan came over to introduce himself and right away we felt like we could trust him. I wasn’t worried about giving him the keys to our home, and while I was still concerned about leaving our cat, Chip for a week, Johnathan put my mind at ease with regular check in’s and pictures of our boy. Best of all Chip- who often gets depressed when we go away- was happy and healthy when we got home. We’re already planning to ask Johnathan to watch Chip the next time we go away.

Schedule
While I work a full time job and maintain a hybrid WFH/Office schedule in the NYC area, I have plenty of flexibility for 🌅morning and 🌄evening drop-ins and weekend visits.

- Of course let me know if your fur babies have any special needs, preferences, or sensitivities. My goal is to ensure those needs and preferences are met so that they have a comfortable and pleasant experience with me while you're away.
