I work from home and have flexibility for routine dog walks and drop-in house visits. I also can do house sitting for an extended period if given advanced notice to schedule.

I grew up with rescue dogs and understand their home is their space so I would want to follow their owner's guidelines and if there are any special spaces to pay attention to. I know it can be stressful having a new person boarding and taking care of their pet so I aim to care for their home as I would mine and leave it exactly how it was before I arrived.

It depends on your pet! I typically let your pet (or owner's preferences) guide me - we can take the time to sniff around or go to specific spaces they love. If I am house sitting or doing a drop-in visit, then I'll make sure your pet gets their meals and/or treats and we have some play time with their favorite toys or any enrichment activities.

Hi, I’m Jonathan! I’ve been around dogs most of my life, growing up with four family dogs and helping care for them daily. I’ve also looked after pets for family members, including feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. I don’t have a pet right now but miss having a dog around so joined Rover! I work from home so your pet will have a lot of attention. I have experience taking care of anxious dogs and grew up with rescues, and committed to following your pet’s routine and care instructions. Jonathan took amazing care of Margo, it’s been hot and he adjusted the schedule to make sure Margo got some outside time without overheating and followed her new diet (post dental surgery). He also kept me posted regularly with updates and photos of Margo, which was such a comfort. Jonathan is definitely one of Margo’s favorites and will definitely book again!
Jonathan remains our trusted sitter for Margo over the last 4 years. Margo is an anxious rescue and needs special care, and Jonathan caters to her needs both on walks and at home. He is very attentive and alert to minimize triggers for Margo, while helping us maintain her training. Margo instantly fell for Jonathan and always rushes to see him. I highly recommend Jonathan for walks and daycare / sitting for your fur baby!
