I regularly work 7am-3pm Mon-Fri. Dogs that need to go out multiple times during the day or struggle with being left alone might not be a good fit for me.

I am very respectful when in the home of a client, and when possible always try to leave things in a better state than when I found them. Furthermore, I strictly adhere to pet care instructions that I am given. Many animals I have cared for have special diets so I am always careful to keep them away from getting into anything harmful or feed them treats they were not allowed.

I am open to caring for older (I love senior animals!) and special needs animals, but I need to know everything up front to make sure that I feel comfortable giving your pets everything they need. Currently, I am open to caring for large dogs but that depends on the level of activity required for care.

I give animals lots of attention when their parents are away. If they have a collection of favorite toys, I make sure we spend time to play with them. Play time and activity are determined on a pet by pet basis.

My family always had multiple dogs when I was growing up and I shared in giving them care. When I left home for college I adopted a cat and discovered that cats are an especially good fit for me. For the last few years I was in a graduate program at a university outside my home state with no pets of my own, but I started offering care for my instructors and colleagues. Many of these clients had older animals including dogs over 10+ years, and cats over 15+. I love all animals, but older animals are special sweethearts. I love their personalities and temperaments. After moving to Kansas City in the summer of 2022 I started offering care through Rover. I feel very comfortable communicating with pet parents and following specific care on a pet by pet basis.

Our cats loved Jonathan. He did a great job keeping our apt clean and sent us cute photos of the cats while we were traveling!
Jonathan is amazing with our senior dog. He takes the utmost care of him and is always understanding of his needs.
