I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time at home, so your dog will have plenty of attention and company throughout the day. Walks are built into my daily routine, with easy access to fields, woodland, and quiet rural footpaths right from my doorstep. I can adapt to your dog’s usual routine, whether that’s early morning walks, multiple shorter walks, or more active exercise. I’m available for both weekdays and weekends and can be flexible with drop-off and collection times where needed.

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe, and secure rural environment. I have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely explore and play, as well as direct access to quiet countryside walks. I have a well-trained, gentle Labrador who is great with other dogs and helps create a relaxed, social environment. I’m experienced in managing multiple dogs and understanding different temperaments, ensuring all dogs are introduced and supervised carefully. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine closely, including feeding, sleeping arrangements, and any specific needs. Crating is absolutely fine if that’s what your dog is used to, and I’m also comfortable caring for puppies who aren’t yet house trained.

Information Jonathan B. would like to know about your pet
It’s really helpful to understand your dog’s routine, temperament, and any specific needs before they stay. This includes feeding times, exercise requirements, recall ability, and how they are with other dogs. Please let me know about any medical conditions, allergies, or medications, as well as behaviours such as anxiety, reactivity, or anything that helps me make their stay as smooth as possible. I’m happy to care for a wide range of dogs, including puppies and those still in training, but I do prioritise dogs that are friendly and sociable, as I often have other dogs around. My aim is always to create a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment for every dog in my care.
A typical day
A typical day is built around the dogs and their needs. Mornings usually start with a walk straight from the house into the surrounding countryside, with a mix of on-lead and off-lead exercise depending on your dog. During the day, dogs have access to the large secure garden for play, exploring, and relaxing, alongside plenty of attention and interaction. I like to keep dogs both physically and mentally stimulated with play, basic training reinforcement, and calm social time. Afternoons usually include another walk or more outdoor time, followed by a relaxed evening where dogs can settle comfortably. I’ll always tailor the day to match your dog’s usual routine and energy levels.

Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around dogs and have had them in my life for as long as I can remember. I currently have a 5-year-old fox red Labrador who I’ve trained to work - she’s incredibly calm, gentle, and great with other dogs, which helps create a relaxed and safe environment for any dog in my care. Over the years I’ve regularly looked after dogs for friends and family, often having multiple dogs staying at once - having 5–6 dogs in the house is something I’m very comfortable with. I understand different temperaments, routines, and how to manage group dynamics calmly and safely. I live in a rural part of Wiltshire with a large, fully fenced garden and direct access to beautiful footpaths, fields, and woodland. Whether your dog prefers relaxed lead walks or more active runs, I can tailor their exercise to suit them. I’m very flexible and happy to follow your dog’s normal routine closely, including feeding, sleeping arrangements, and any specific needs. I’m also comfortable taking puppies who aren’t yet house trained and will handle them with patience and consistency. Above all, I treat every dog as if they were my own - giving them a calm, safe, and enjoyable stay.

Thank you very much for looking after them both. Much appreciated.

Darcy had such a great time and was looked after so well. In fact, as I type this, Darcy is fast asleep on my lap dreaming about all the new friends she made and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Jonathan 👏🐶

Went for a meet and greet and a dog walk with Johnathan, I was very nervous as my dogs can get quite excited but he instantly put me at ease. Johnathan has a wonderful space where the dogs can relax and ample garden space for them to explore. All around there are fields and woodlands for the dogs to explore and Johnathan was confident and managed just fine with my excitable pups. Iv recently booked a stay with him and feel confident that they are in safe and caring hands.
