I've had 6 dogs in my liftime!
I've had a a dog in my life on and off since I was born. I've had 4 dalmations while living with my family. One at a time and then a golden retriever and then adopted a pit/boxer mix a few years ago and then my mom 'stole' him. :-) I'm a huge fun of dogs and adore large breeds like pits, rotties, boxers, etc...and I'll still love to be with your little one if you have that too. I've sat for my friends female pittie a couple times and it's gone very very well. Apparently she doesn't like men too well however we got along terrifically. I miss playing and hanging out with my dog, "bueller" who my mom now gets to spend time with so that's why I'm here on this site. To get my 'doggie fix'. ;-) I feel I'm very aware of my surroundings while with my dog and also aware of the body language of the dog I'm with as they usually give a heads up if they are worried, anxious, fearful, etc... before something might happen.

Jonathan was wonderful with my dog. He was happy help me out in a pinch, and while I never got to meet him, my roommates raved about how good he was with my high energy mutt. He was able to keep up with her and outsmart her when play time was done. Definitely would recommend!
He has been an excellent dog walker. As well as teaching our dogs new tricks, Jonathon is professional, courteous, keeps us posted on his availability and Always arrives, as planned. Our Ziggy waits for Jonathon every day and watches out the window when it is close to the time Jonathon is to arrive. Jonathon is patient with the dogs and they really enjoy their time with Him.
Jonathan was nothing short of perfect. He was a great and consistent communicator from the start up and throughout the stay. He even continued to make contact until after we were back home and had a chance to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It was much more than that! He paid careful attention to the medication and food instructions and made sure to clarify all aspects of our pets' behaviors and preferences. Jonathan sent photos and videos of our dog and cat that truly spoke of caring that went above my expectations. It is evident that our pets felt very comfortable and loved while we were away. That made us feel great and really allowed us to enjoy our vacation. We highly recommend Jonathan. Thank you, Jonathan and Rover. You are so appreciated.
Jonathan was great with our girl Gwenny. She is a really good/fun/goofy/people loving girl, but doesn't love the company of other dogs, and he was great with her. He let her sleep in his bed - which basically meant, he let her sleep partially on him! He was really good about sending us texts/videos throughout the 3days he watched her, and we felt really comfortable with her care. We would definitely use him again when we take a trip.
Jonathan took great care of our small pit mix Zoe. Zoe got all the love and attention she needs and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing she was in good hands. Jonathan is very responsive and sent us lots of great pics and videos so we knew our pup was having a great time.
I am a new dog owner and had to be out of the house for 5 hours for an evening event. I was not sure if I could leave my 13 week puppy for that long alone, so I looked for someone on Dogvacay to check in on her and take her for a walk. Even though I didn't get a chance to meet Jonathan in person, I trusted him to take puppy out of her crate, take her for a walk, and put her back in her crate, as well as leave the keys with the doorman. Everything went smoothly and puppy was just fine after I got home!

Depends on where you are and what options are in your neighborhood. Could be walking around your property or at a local dog park if that's an option.
