Safety, trust & environment

We are older, quiet and tidy. We will keep your pets and your home clean and well looked after. We will never leave your pets at home alone. We have a, plug-in electric SUV that is large enough to carry 2 large dogs. It is equipped with a safety hammock in the back seat and padding behind the back seat. We always carry water and bowls, extra leads and collars and plenty of poo bags. If your dog needs a ramp to get in and out, let us know and we can provide one.

Information Jon W. would like to know about your pet

All the details of their daily routine, their food, treats, medications and exercise needs. Their breed, recall reliability, compatibility with other pets in the home and dogs outside the home. The level of their training (basic commands, more, less). Do they walk on a loose lead. Household restrictions - on the couch? - on the bed? - not in the bedroom? - etc. Special needs, phobias, quirks. Anything I forgot to ask.

A typical day

Walking (on or off lead) is an every day must. Plenty of time to explore, sniff and meet other dogs and people (if they are comfortable doing that). Time to run and play in a safe space and any opportunity to swim for dogs that enjoy the water. As much contact and communication as they want and a chance to practice the tricks they know, or learn a new one. And time to chill when the activities are done.

Pet care experience

My wife Jennifer and I will work together to care for your pets and your home. In addition to providing love and care for our own dogs from puppyhood to the end of their days, Jennifer and I regularly walk and pet-sit both of our sons' dogs and look after their cats. In days past we had three cats along with our own two dogs and we enjoy the company of both. I hold a Level 3 Certificate in Canine Behaviour Training and a Level 2 Certificate in Canine First Aid. I have been an assistant dog agility instructor and a Pets as Therapy volunteer offering dog visits in schools, care homes and the paediatric ward at our local hospital. (This required an annual DBS check.) For about 7 years I volunteered as Ranger for the National Trust at Blickling hall, conducting 4 to 5 mile long, weekly walks for groups of 15 to 40 off-lead dogs. Jennifer often joined us on those walks as a regular member of the Blickling Bounders. I still occasionally participate in those walks with my son's 4 year old black lab. I have also owned parrots and cockatiels and am familiar with the care needs of exotic birds.

Thank you very much, the animals were obviously well cared for and happy. Dogs taken out most days and Jon and Jen showed real care and attention to them. House was lovely and clean on our return. Impressed that although we said they could leave once we were back in the country they insisted on staying and handing over in person. Can recommend totally.

Jon and Jennifer took great care of our dog. It looks like he has had his own little holiday while we were away. They’ve taken him on some lovely walks and provided plenty of stimulation for him. They have kept our house in perfect order and we are very glad we found them.

Jon and Jennifer did a fantastic job looking after our 5 dogs and 2 cats for the weekend. We returned from our trip to very happy and relaxed dogs and cats and the house had been kept perfectly. One of our elderly cats needs 8 lots of eye treatments each day which they administered beautifully. Would highly recommend their services.

Jon and Jennifer were fantastic house sitters. Zara was very relaxed and happy with them. They looked after her very well and took her on some fun adventures. I would 100% recommend them to others.
