Hi, I'm Jon, an American animal lover exploring life in Den Bosch. I grew up around animals. I volunteered at the Seattle Animal Shelter for three years, and I spent five years as a full-time dog walker and pet sitter. From chihuahuas to mastiffs, Labradors to lizards, tortoises to tortoiseshell cats, I've probably cared for one. I'm neurodivergent, and honestly, it gives me an inside track with pets. I'm patient in a way that doesn't run out. I move at their pace. I notice the small things. Animals seem to sense it, and even the ones who don't usually like strangers warm up to me. I volunteer weekly at Dierentehuis 's-Hertogenbosch because this has never just been a job. I have no pets of my own. When I'm with yours, they have my full attention. No distractions. No competition. Before every stay, I'll ask about your pet's habits, routines, fears, favorite toys, how they like to play, and any house rules. I want to follow their normal life as closely as possible. During visits and walks, I send photo and video updates so you're never left wondering. Still learning Dutch, but completely fluent in animal. 🐾
