Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a home with no fewer than five dogs at a time, so caring for dogs has been second nature to me for as long as I can remember. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that means going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of attention, or simply keeping them company. I’m also a nurse, which gives me a flexible schedule and several days off each week to dedicate to pet care. My nursing background has taught me to be responsible, attentive, and comfortable caring for others, and I bring that same level of care and patience to every dog I look after. I’ll treat your pup like one of my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

Jon-Andrew and I were roommates for many years. During that time I adopted a dog who ended up having severe anxiety and aggression issues. Jon-Andrew was able to bond with my pup and is one of the few people who was able to care for him when I was traveling or away at work! He would take him on walks, feed and play with him. To this day my dog get excited whenever Jon-Andrew comes to visit. Over the years I've gotten to see Jon-Andrew as a very responsible and hard worker in all areas of life, including in his professional work in the medical field. I know he'll be a great addition to the Rover team!
I highly recommend Jon-Andrew! He has provided overnight and daytime care for both my 16-year-old senior chihuahua mix and my energetic 1-year-old pit mix. He has the high energy needed to keep up with a puppy, yet is remarkably gentle, kind, and patient with my senior dog. Jon is exceptionally reliable, knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, and always willing to accommodate special requests. You couldn't ask for a more trustworthy or compassionate caregiver!

Schedule
As a nurse, I work an incredibly flexible schedule that gives me several days off each week, which makes pet care a great fit for me. I will have plenty of free weekdays and weekends. I’m able to be flexible with walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays, and I can often accommodate different schedules depending on your pup’s needs. My days off give me plenty of time to give your dog the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve rather than rushing through a visit.

If your pup stays with me, I’ll make them feel right at home! I’ll keep their normal routine as consistent as possible, including meals, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and cuddles. Since I grew up with multiple dogs in the house, I’m comfortable with dogs having different personalities, energy levels, and routines. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I’ll give them plenty of exercise and companionship while also making sure they have a calm space to relax. I’ll also keep you updated with pictures and messages so you know how your pup is doing while you’re away.
