Joley can care for
Availability
I juggle the requirements of being a star sitter alongside juggling doctor appointments, and I have multiple reviews mentioning appreciation for my plentiful pictures and updates. I have chronic health conditions that make mornings challenging and limit my service range. I'm at my most energetic after lunch, hopefully the physical therapist will expand my capability to walk dogs at other times of day. Evening is a great time to chill out and cuddle, and if any furbabies aren't disturbed by my wiggling, they're welcome to continue the snuggles on the bed at bedtime!

Safety, trust & environment
I'm well-versed in using my legs and whatever suitcase I happen to be carrying to thwart any door-dashing doggies or kitties as I arrive at the front door. I have a belt with a carabiner to clip leashes to just in case my grip falters. My most recent Covid-19 vaccine dose was November 7, 2025, I have been keeping up since March 30 2021. I still use my favorite washable cloth face masks.
Information Joley W. would like to know about your pet
The first two questions I'll want to know are: Is your dog allergic to anything? Does your dog come when called? Most of my questions will pertain to personality. Is your dog afraid of anybody or anything? Does anybody or anything trigger your dog's aggression? What excites your dog? Does your dog do anything to let you know he or she needs to go potty? Are there any kinds of people, objects or concepts in the world that your dog needs introductions or exposure to in order to become a well-adjusted dog?
A typical day
Due to increasing chronic health issues I am no longer providing dog walks as a service. If the dog already has toys at home, I can find a way to use them as I play with the dog. I have been able to coax a dog reluctant to eat by transferring her kibble from her bowl to one of her toys designed to let food fall out a little at a time as the dog rolls it around.

Pet care experience
For two years I've been hands-on taking care of horses in a volunteer position. For eleven years I've had a loud high-strung dog in my family (RIP Dexter). For over a year I've had a mellow blind dog in my family (welcome Meelo). Interwoven in that time, I've spent seven years self-studying, seeking knowledge about animal psychology, mainly horses but also branching out into dogs and cats. Obviously they are all different, but there is enough overlap to where I know how frustrating it is to these animals when humans ignore their body language and don't know how to accommodate their instincts and deeply-entrenched learned reflexes, whatever those might be. Brute-forcing authority on these magnificent animals makes for miserable animals, instead I know how to communicate by watching their body language and adapting my body language to theirs. With the communication thus described and knowledge of proper care and an environment set up to meet the animal's needs, thus I can earn an animal's respect, training the animal and adjusting the environment to live harmoniously with humans.
