I have my own consulting business and work from home full time. On occasion I'll have lunch meetings or errands to run, but never for more than a couple hours.

Information Joi S. would like to know about your pet
My main objective is to build a trusting relationship with the owners and a bond with the pet. I aim for my fur-clients to look forward to our time together and give owners peace of mind. My main questions are: 1) Is your dog friendly with dogs of all sizes? 2) What is their general personality and temperament? 3) Is your dog FULLY house-trained? 4) Is you dog up to date on vaccinations, rabies and flea/tick/heart worm preventatives? 5) who is your dogs vet? 6) has your dog ever bitten/attacked another dog or ever been bitten/attacked by another dog? I realize this may seem like overkill, but my dog was attacked by a Rover boarding dog a few years ago, so I am very cautious.
A typical day
Lots of play time with the right amount of boundaries. We take walks several times a day for their enjoyment and my sanity. :) Hiking, jogging, nose work, puzzles, fetch and belly rubs are all on the menu.

Pet care experience
If I could do life all over again, I would be a veterinarian and run a shelter. I’ve had pets of all kinds my entire life and sometimes like them better than some people, if we’re being honest. 😉 I have volunteered and fostered for a well known local animal rescue for the past several years, taking in fosters and getting them ready for their forever home. I love nurturing dogs from being unsure and scared from shelter life, to being happy, loved and confident. I currently have 2 dogs, a senior Yorkie and a young GSD mix. They are my children, and yours will be too! I have had pets cross the rainbow bridge and it taught me a lot about senior care and medications, so you can feel confident with that as well. I’ve used Rover as a client and I give to my fur-families what I expected from my walkers/sitters - PEACE OF MIND knowing your baby is safe, happy, loved and spoiled. I work from home and have good flexibility with my schedule. My backyard is townhouse small. It's great for potty breaks, but not running around. We take several walks a day for exercise and enrichment. Safety and comfort are my top priorities, so please note that I do not consider pets without a full profile, temperament description, full vaccinations, vet information, etc. Also, my home has all hardwood floors, so dogs with a fear of them, probably wouldn't be very happy here. 😢 Lastly, I am unable to board (for overnight or daycare) any dog, puppies included, that is not FULLY house trained.
Reviews
Joi gives me the peace of mind to travel and know my baby is safe and happy! Been working with her for almost four years and have always felt she goes above and beyond each time!!
Jodi was awesome. Super flexible and sent lots of pics! I really felt like she was a true dog lover. My dog seemed To have a great time playing with her fur babies. I would recommend her to anyone!
Joi takes care of my baby as if he was her own!! Best all around!!
Joi feels like family to us! Finn loves her and her house and her 3 dogs, which is comforting when we’re away. Finn has had trouble with other Rover options and struggles with some dogs, but at Joi’s there is only happiness, snuggles and play time! She texts pictures and is very communicative. We always appreciate when Finn gets to stay with Joi!
