During the week right now I typically spend 2/3 hours at work until I come home for lunch for an hour or more. Then back to work for maybe another 2/3 hours. If you usually leave your pets out when you’re not home, it’ll be the exact same at my house. Weekends consist of hanging out with friends at my house so they get even more affection!

I am a big fan of routine so whatever the owner does with their pet, I will do everything in my power to do the same. I can also handle any behaviors that your pet may have, even the negative ones like resource guarding. And no, I do not like saying negative ones but I know it can be very difficult to find someone comfortable dealing with these behaviors. Also, my boy Nikko does not live with me right now so unless I am watching other animals, you’re buddy will be the star of the show.

I would say most important are all the things that they do not necessarily like to do so I don’t put your pet in a situation that is unusually for them and stress them out. Just let me know what they like to do or what your usual care is and I will give them the most love and care I can!
A typical day
I will do just about anything to fit a dogs routine but my favorite things to do are play fetch or tug of war with my dog. He likes to rough house a bit with me and play with various toys that we have for him. I usually take him to some sort of dog park or field that is closed in and throw a ball around or run around with him. Your dog would get the same attention and care that I give him and I will tailor our daily exercise and play to fit what works best for them!

I know that it can be tough finding sitters, especially last minute and especially for large dogs. The size of the pet doesn’t bother me at all as I have had all sizes and shapes growing up. I have a very large backyard for them to run around and take walks down the trails in my neighborhood.

Johnnie was wonderful with our dog, Dolly! He was very accommodating with drop-off, super friendly, and kept a clean, organized home. He even took great care of her when it snowed and sent pictures and videos to keep us updated. He was easy to reach and so helpful when it was time to pick her up. We felt completely comfortable leaving Dolly with him and would 100% recommend Johnnie to anyone.
Johnnie had our boy for 8 days while we were out of the country for our honeymoon and we did not have to worry at all. He took great care of our pup, was always available to talk, and loved our pup! We are super happy!
Johnnie is hands down one of the best dog walkers and sitters I know. He’s dependable, patient, and dogs absolutely love him. He always takes the time to make sure they get plenty of exercise and attention, and he treats every dog like his own (Niko). Whenever Johnnie’s watching someone’s pup, you can relax knowing they’re in great hands.
