I work in an office Monday-Friday. As a result l, I walk my dog for an hour from 6-7am, then again around 6pm for another hour or more (depending on how much it’s raining). Breakfast is at 7:10am, dinner at 7:30/8pm. The weekends are not timed as precisely (and can accommodate your schedule as needed), but the amount of feeding and walking remains the same (unless otherwise noted).

I allow my dog to roam the entirety of my apartment (3 rooms plus a bathroom) and am happy to let yours roam too, provided your dog is respectful of my home. We can discuss what things may need to be put out of reach if necessary. Otherwise, your dog can be limited to the kitchen area, where he/she will find it very difficult to cause trouble (as long as this won’t result in lots of barking). I am not afraid of your aggressive dog either, and my dog is very friendly. If this is regarding your own home, I am happy to follow any rules you would like. I am quite persistent when it comes to upholding rules with dogs. I am happy to provide my dog training and/or bathing and grooming services as well if desired.

I walk my dog for an hour through Central Park every morning. In the evening, we walk along the east river footpath to the dog run at Carl Schurz Park for an hour or two (depending on the weather). My dog has a nice group of friends at the park that I’m sure your dog would find fun to play along with. If your dog doesn’t like the dog run that’s also fine, there are plenty of green park spaces to walk through. I typically walk my dog over 3 miles a day. I’d like to add your dog to my daily routine.

I’ve been the proud owner of my Portuguese Water Dog (Terry) for 4 years now. My dog is fully house trained, doesn’t bark, and knows how to cross the street off-leash, amongst many other things. I have also dog-sat for many friends and family over the past 10 years (I’ve even trained my parents’ dog to cross the street). I also fully bath and groom my dog (for anyone interested in hair cuts). One important note: I cannot board your dog if barking will be an issue while I’m at work.

Rest assured, your pup will be in great hands with John! John is a diligent and active dog owner who will treat your beloved fur baby like his own. With daily morning walks to Central Park, daily play times at the Carl Schurz dog runs, and lots of cuddles with John and his dog Terry, there is no better home to leave your at dog while you are away. Personally, my dog Macy adores John and gets excited every time she sees him. Terry is a loving, sweet and playful girl who will keep your pup in good company. If you’re in need of a reliable, friendly, and caring pet sitter, John is definitely the right match for you.
John is caring, responsible, and a great pet owner. I lived with him and his dog for multiple years and I think he is attentive, fun and sweet with animals. I’m sure John would love to take your pet on long and enriching walks - he loves to walk his own dog down by the river and spend time in the dog park!
