I have years of varied experience looking after, interacting with and training different dogs from all walks of life. I've worked at a dog groomer in Botswana, I've taught horse riding in South Africa and England, I've volunteered at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Botswana, and kept different species of birds (chickens, geese, peacocks, turkeys, guinea fowls, quails, pigeons, cockatiels and finches) and fish as a young adult on our small holding in Botswana. I'm an animal lover all round and my friends call me the dog whisperer, which speaks to my natural feel and tact with animals. I've looked after people's dogs, cats, horses, parrots, rabbits, chickens and fish for years.

We can’t recommend John-Rob highly enough! He has looked after Hugo on several occasions, from day trips to short holidays and even our longer trips. Every single time, Hugo has had an absolutely wonderful time with him and his lovely doggy friends. What we appreciate most is the genuine care, love, and attention Hugo receives. John-Rob always keeps us updated with photos and messages about Hugo’s daily adventures, which gives us complete peace of mind while we’re away. It’s so reassuring to see how happy, relaxed, and well cared for Hugo is. Hugo comes home happy, healthy, and full of wonderful memories. We are grateful to John-Rob for his conscientious and assiduous attention to the care and needs of our pet Saffy whilst in his care for a long weekend. Due to an unexpected incident, barely one hour into the stay, John-Rob's experience as a carer, was challenged in a demanding and exacting way. This turned out to be a far from routine weekend for John-Rob, which makes our 5 star reveiw for his quality care, even more justified. We would unreservedly recommend John-Rob who provided us with much appreciated timely updates and photos.
This was Willow’s first stay with John‑Rob, and she settled in beautifully. We really appreciated the updates and photos throughout her visit. She looked so content and well cared for. We’d definitely use John‑Rob again ☺️

Have just had my two cavapoochons for day care with John-Rob and they came away very happy and contented after a day of long walks and ball-chasing! They are always so well cared for and loved with John-Rob, he is highly recommended and our go-to when the pups need day care or boarding. Thank you again for giving them such a lovely day!

Schedule
I work full time, but from home, so I'll have plenty of time to look after and walk your pets. I'm lucky to live in a leafy neighbourhood in Beckenham, where there are ample short and long walks to be had.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a spacious, double-storey, link-detached house, with a large and enclosed garden at the back. I have space to crate your dog, if that works for their needs. I'm responsible and accountable and I know that your dogs will have a great time with me.
A typical day
I'm an active person so on a typical day I go out for at least one walk or run, which I'd happily take your dogs with me for, depending on their preference. I'm lucky to live in a spacious, leafy neighbourhood in Beckenham with easy access to multiple parks and green spaces where I can take your dogs for a good time and to burn off some energy. Cator Park, Churchfields and Croydon Recreation Ground are all within 10 minutes walk of my home. Beckenham Place Park, which is much bigger and allows for long off leash walks, is only 20 minutes walk away from me! I often take my Rover dogs on weekend hikes and excursions with me, which they always relish!
