I’m most busy Wednesdays-Thursdays, so I marked them out on the calendar, but if petsitting is required for several days, that is easy to accommodate! I also don’t mind waking up every few hours to take a dog out—I have not quite reached the age where sleep is important.

I won’t allow your dog to roam around outside unleashed (sorry, but I don’t want to lose them!), but when they’re outside, I’ll make sure they have the freedom to run around to their heart’s content. Additionally, I’m willing to walk them in any weather they’ll put up with and even let them sleep on the couch/spare bed, if they’re not too dirty.

Let me know if your dog has any history of aggression, if they need a certain medication at a certain time, if they have problems with steps or hardwood floors, if they have to be carried, if they have attachment issues with a specific crate, if they can’t walk further than 2 miles, etc…. Anything you think is vital to their daily life, lmk!

I would play fetch with your dog and make sure they had plenty of exercise. It’s actually not healthy for puppies to run (while their joints are still growing), but I’d make sure your dog is not too antsy or pooped when next they see you

No dog deserves the kennel! Why settle for the pound when they can spend a night in a home with an owner-on-loan; either in your house on in a house that has raised two other pets from puppyhood to old age? Admittedly, there are stairs and hardwood floors in my house, but I have bought several carpets for my old dog to move around on and can lay them down for your dog’s convenience. We also have a big backyard that your dog will love to run around in (and no predators, unless you count woodchucks and geese) and a long leash that can go all the way to the end of the property line. I love dogs and after a day with me, your furry friend will mistake me for his mother.

So grateful for John! Very understanding of the difficulties I had leaving my Luna for the first time like this - sent me multiple texts, pictures and videos assuring me she was doing well and happy. Very flexible with my schedule and made the point to come meet Luna ahead of time on a previous day. Very attentive to Luna's schedule and her specific little quirks. Luna clearly enjoyed her time, giving John a super speed tail wag and some kisses before we left.
My cat felt safe interacting and snuggling up to John within minutes of first meeting him, and I think it’s because of John’s calm, intentional, gentle presence and demeanor. I couldn’t believe this is his first time cat-sitting because he was so good with my cat. He was quick to respond and was communicative throughout the visits, and asked many questions to get to know my cat’s routines and preferences. John was so polite and easygoing. He went above and beyond caring for my cat for the weekend, and this was a last minute scheduling given last minute plans. So grateful for John.
Thank you Jack for your communication and thoroughness throughout the weekend. I appreciate how much care you showed Ranger, and how much he enjoyed having you!
Jack was excellent. Extremely communicative and took great care of my dogs and my home.
