I structure my day around being active, I walk or run a trail multiple times a day and if I’m not out doing that I am home, meaning your pet will be exercised and rarely be alone if ever. My favorite part of the day is being outside and I would love having a furry partner to explore with.

I have lived in Vail for around 5 years and know the trails in the area well and how they are suited for each type of dog. Every animal in my care uses an airtag as an extra precaution.

To help me provide the safest and most enjoyable experience for your pup, I love getting to know a bit about their personality and routine ahead of time. Before we book, please let me know how your dog typically gets along with other dogs and new people, as well as how they handle themselves on a leash during our daily hikes. It is also incredibly helpful to know about any specific dietary needs or restrictions they might have, what activities and toys they enjoy the most, and whether they have any behavioral quirks or separation anxiety. Gathering these details up front ensures I can tailor our daily adventures perfectly to their comfort level and keep them happy, safe, and thriving while in my care.
A typical day
I will adapt the fun to whatever your dog is into! I can take them on daily hikes and/or neighborhood walks. Or if your dog prefers indoor fun I enjoy playing games and even teaching them tricks to keep them mentally stimulated.

Pet care experience
I have loved animals since I was young and have previously had many pets over the years. I have had the opportunity to watch many animals including Belgian Malinois’, Australian Shepards, Cattle dogs, Collie mixes, and various cat breeds. Even teaching a few of them some tricks while in my care. (references available upon request).

I had both a Belgian Malinois and a Maltese, and every time I traveled, he treated them like they were his own. He constantly kept me updated with pictures, messages, and little check-ins that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. What stood out the most was the level of care and attention he gave my older Belgian Malinois, who required extra patience, medications, exercise routines, and special attention. John handled everything flawlessly and with genuine compassion. He made sure medications were given on time, kept him active and comfortable, and most importantly made sure he felt loved and cared for while I couldn’t be there myself. It’s rare to find someone you can fully trust with your pets, especially when they need extra care, but John consistently went above and beyond. His reliability, communication, and love for animals truly show in everything he does. I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable, attentive, and genuinely caring to watch over their pets.
