Hi, I'm John. I've been a professional sitter and boarder for many years, and I love Rover for helping me meet so many wonderful dogs. I still get excited for every new pup I meet. I have my own little guy, Georgie, who loves to make new friends, too. I'm experienced and comfortable with dogs of all ages, including seniors with medical care needs or disabilities.

Joh was great and Winston seemed to have a great day, he passed out in the car on the way home, so he definitely got plenty of play & exercise.
John is very nice and cares about the dogs. He keeps the worry down for the dog parents by sending pictures. Will happily ask him to watch them again.
John is my hero! He took Sandy on a moments notice while we were in Historic Deerfield. He provided a loving environment in a comfortable home while we visited the area. We will definitely call John when we’re back! A BiG thank you to John! Sandy was so happy!🐾🐾
John was a tremendous caregiver for our dog, Griffin! He communicated very effectively and kept Griffin busy with walks and play. He was mindful that Griffin was a bit anxious at times, with it being his first stay with John, and made every effort to help Griffin feel comfortable and at home. We really appreciate John’s conscientious and well-informed caregiving and will happily have Griffin stay with him again. Thanks, John!
John is trustworthy, responsible, and kind. Dogs really like him! I was extremely pleased with John’s care of my 2 mini-dachshunds who I left with him for an entire week. The elder of the two has often experienced separation anxiety but, to my great relief, was able to relatively quickly relax with John. The younger, is a high energy dog and John clearly was able to handle her and encourage her to have lively fun. I felt they were safe and in good hands. John’s dog, Georgie, was also a welcoming host.
McTavish, a three yr old Scotch Collie loves playing in the yard with other guests! He also appears to have happy naps on the couch! This is his third stay and he will be back!

Schedule
I work from home and my hours are flexible, so your pup will get plenty of close, personal attention. I'm open for boarding and daycare almost every day!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet's safety is my top priority. Dogs staying with me will be staying in a quiet home where they'll be given close attention throughout the day. I have a fenced backyard for play and a large, partially-fenced yard your dog can enjoy while leashed. Dogs are never left outside unsupervised. I have my own young dog who is extremely friendly and loves to play, but there's plenty of room for dogs that prefer their own space and he's very respectful of dogs that don't want attention. I'm not out often and constant care service is available if your pet needs 24/7 care. Dogs are separated as needed if I'm out. I only host up to 3 dogs at a time for overnights, so your dog will always get plenty of individual attention. In addition to the Rover Guarantee, I am privately insured for pet care. Boarding clients must be up to date on vaccinations and be able to provide proof.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs will be walked multiple times a day and get frequent potty breaks. I like to give dogs lots of playtime, either in the yard or indoors. On nicer days we may go for a hike down by the CT river. Georgie loves all types of play with other dogs. I have plenty of toys but you're welcome to bring your dog's favorites. Dogs are allowed on furniture and in bed.
