Teacher looking for weekend dogs
I’ve had dogs throughout my childhood and have continued to look after friends dogs too. I’d love my own one but can’t due to work, so I enjoy the versatility in looking after others for them! 😌 As a teacher I am aware of how important a child is to their parent & in this situation, your child is your dog - I take their welfare extremely seriously, and equally want to have a fun time with them.

As always John has been great with Ghillie. Ghillie goes to his door with no bother at all and always has a great time. I have absolutely no worries about leaving Ghillie with John and know he will set boundaries for Ghillie if he misbehaves at all.
Ghillie once again had a great stay with John. We have already booked for Ghillie to stay again!!

Ghillie had a great time staying with John and was clearly very comfortable with John when I picked him up as he was lying at his feet wanting pats which is always a good sign. He was also exhausted when I picked him up after a day out and big walks! Will book John again!
John has been very accommodating in the booking process and Maple (my lab) loves spending time with him. I would highly recommend John to anyone looking for a dog sitter.
Ghillie had a great time with John. John picked up the keys beforehand and Ghillie was excited to see him and was wanting to be patted which is always good to see. John gave Ghillie a great walk and was really good at letting me know when he had seen Ghillie and when he left him. Will be booking again in the future!

Schedule
I currently work full time as a teacher, but am free in the evenings/weekends and also during the school holidays. Can be flexible with one off care or regular bookings. I will have 2 weeks availability for October but majority of my dog care is for the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a flat but this has direct access on to the cycle path and I am very near to Inverleith Park/Cramond beach for walks. A lot of the time we will head in the car to a nice spot for a walk.
A typical day
Where I live provides the best of both worlds for your dog - I’ve got the cycle path on my doorstep (lots of good sniffing spots!) and the beach/parks very close by, but I also enjoy going out to the Pentlands and enjoying some quiet walks too.
